In the United States published a video of testing the universal tank ammunition XM-1147

Crews tanks The US Army Ivy Divisions tested the new XM-1147 projectile as part of a general test of the new weapon.

The new product was developed by the New Jersey-based Picatinny Arsenal engineers. It is positioned as an improved multipurpose projectile designed to replace four rounds at once.

During the tests, over 1 new shells were fired from the M2A90 Abrams tanks against targets such as armored vehicles, bunkers and objects imitating infantry formations. This was previously reported by "Military Review" in one of the news materials. The XM-1147 tank ammunition demonstrated a number of advantages, in particular, work in a new air blast mode and the ability to overcome double reinforced concrete walls. At the same time, the firing range exceeded 2 km.

It is assumed that the XM-1147 will be able to significantly unify the ammunition in service with American tanks, immediately replacing four of them - the cumulative M830; M830A1, working against heavy armored vehicles; M1028, designed to fight infantry thanks to buckshot filling; concrete-piercing high-explosive M908.

Recently, a new video of testing the XM-1147 universal tank shell was published on the network:

Multipurpose PROGRAMMABLE ammunition that can be used against:
    1.infantry,
    2.lightly armored targets,
3.Low-flying air targets - programming to detonate a projectile near the target).
4.for the destruction of concrete reinforced fortifications

Is this so that the Negro loader does not get confused?

Mattresses, I see, decided to refuse from godfathers for "Abrasha" altogether. But "buckshot filling" is prohibited by the Geneva Convention, if my memory serves me right. An excellent pair is obtained: scrap with a super-environmentally friendly uranium core and a canister shell, prohibited by the convention.

Where they decided to refuse, the cumulative funnel is present there and its action was shown in the video. For the target to which the projectile will fly, it will not be so critical with a uranium or tungsten core)

There is no cumulative effect there, only a high-explosive one. This can be clearly seen on the concrete wall and the concrete cylinder.

          (cumulative M830, universal anti-tank M830A1, canister anti-personnel projectile M1028, as well as concrete-explosive M908).
The 120 mm XM1147 projectile is a multifunctional ammunition that can be used against infantry, lightly armored targets, low-flying air targets, as well as for the destruction of concrete reinforced fortifications at a distance of up to 2 km.
The warhead of the new projectile has increased power and is also equipped with a tracer element.

We have had a similar shell since 2009. And nobody is complaining.

From the video, neither the cumulative effect, nor the programmed detonation is noticeable, and the thickness of the reinforced concrete wall is not at all impressive. and it is quite tough with a 12,7 machine gun.

These guys wanted to spit on the convention, because they yell more than anyone else, accusing everyone and everything, they only have 3500 tons of gas, they say they don't have money for recycling. This is the most humane nya.

This is probably the so-called cumulative rod projectile. This is when an elongated cone of soft metal (carbon-free iron) is located around the carbide core, with the base towards the target. I mean, like in a cumulative projectile, but instead of a cumulative jet, there is a rod that pushes forward, as a result of an explosion, soft metal flowing around (some kind of hydraulic drive). That is, a nail and a hammer in one glass. lol
