At an exhibition in Egypt, Russia showed a reconnaissance and signaling complex 1K144-E
At the International Arms Exhibition EDEX 2021, held in Egypt, Russia for the first time in front of foreign buyers showed the 1L144-E reconnaissance and signaling complex, the export version of which was named TAS3. This technical facility is capable of secretly detecting enemy equipment and manpower, automatically transmitting information about it to a remote command post, the distance to which can be up to 35 kilometers.
This was reported by the press service of the state corporation "Rostec", the structure of which includes the concern "Sozvezdie", where the intelligence complex was created.
The 1L144-E system is autonomous and small-sized. Its complete set includes seismomagnetometric and seismic infrared sensors. The linear dimensions of each of them do not exceed 200 mm, and the weight is 600 grams. They are buried in the ground or camouflaged on the ground. They are able to function without replacing power supplies for up to one month.
In addition to sensors, the complex consists of antennas, devices for receiving and transmitting data, as well as relaying radio signals.
The system is capable of detecting and recognizing objects, that is, it distinguishes between people, wheeled and tracked vehicles. In addition, the complex determines not only the location, but also the speed and direction of movement of objects.
The EDEX 2021 arms exhibition takes place in the Egyptian capital Cairo from November 30 to December 3. It presents the products of defense enterprises from 42 countries of the world, including the Russian Federation.
