The newest French nuclear submarine of the Barracuda project reveals problems with the power plant

Underwater update fleet The French Navy appears to be postponed for the time being. The fact is that on the newest French nuclear submarine of the Barracuda project, problems with the power plant were found.

This is reported by the newspaper L'Opinion.

The French edition notes that due to technical problems with the latest submarine, the French will have to postpone the decommissioning of Rubis class submarines, which have already served for about 30 years.

The defect was discovered on the first multipurpose submarine Suffren, belonging to the new project (program) Barracuda. It led to the fact that the submarine had to be operated in a "sparing" mode, not allowing it to fully use its capabilities.

The power plant of the battleship includes a nuclear reactor, two turbo reducers and a water jet engine. It was found that there was a leak in at least one turbine, which forced the technicians to use plastic "patches".

Due to problems with the submarine, the crew has to use the power plant, limiting the power, and also be careful when driving the submarine at high speed.

The main feature of the new series of Barracuda submarines is their stealth. The first submarine of the series, Suffren, is now based in Toulon. She has a total displacement of 5,3 thousand tons. Crew - 60 people. Swimming autonomy - 50 days. The maximum immersion depth is 410 m.

Is it possible that the Prince was drowned for the second time, last year he was drowned with high quality seawater from the fire main, right up to the vestibules of the entrance to the MCO. Then it's fate!

The submarine of the new series of Barracuda submarines is good precisely as a hunter. Not too rearmed KR and anti-ship missiles like Ash-M and the latest Virginia modifications. Unobtrusive, a displacement of only 5,3 thousand tons. We have something similar in the face of the Shchuka-B 971 project. The sub is a hunter for other submarines. Yasen-M is more likely to combat surface ships and for strikes by the KR against ground targets, the Americans went the same way in their Virginias of the latest modifications. Barracuda in this regard is a more classic submarine - the main weapon of the torpedo and stealth.

Something is unlucky for the French: there are always some unrelated links - either the aircraft carrier won't get out of repair, then the helicopters with helicopters have been thrown, they have flown with the Mistrals, the Australians have thrown a prank - isn't it time to live with your own mind, without looking back at the "partners? "?

With the engines, the French really have some kind of trouble.
And De Gaulle could not get full speed and Barracuda too.
In time the Australians jumped off the topic of its alterations.
And it will be easier for us in the Indian tender for the submarine. bully

      Something anecdote remembered:
"The Americans landed on Mars .. They found some kind of cave and decided to explore it. Some entered, and some remained outside. Suddenly the entrance to the cave was closed. Those outside, trying to hack into the entrance, burned them with a laser, they brought superweapons - nothing helps. The Martians approach them:
      - Can't you hack it?
      - Can not!
      - And here before you there were Russians, so they opened it with a hammer, chisel and someone's mother "...

There is nothing terrible, the steam of the second circuit goes to the turbine. No sugar will melt (will not be irradiated).

A good chopik even holds freon, but not for long. And here some steam, on the contrary, will swell.

Yes, the French have such technologies, "Le chopik" are called, I am more worried about something else:
        two turbo reducers
Is that what they call GTZA now, or I don't understand this, too? hi

Colleague, quote the whole Pearl in its entirety, it's even funnier:

water-jet ENGINE !!! Not a mover, but an engine! A new word in technology !!!
I am very pleased with the articles of amateurs and laymen, I often smile.

These are small French nuclear submarines. The French do not bother with VNEU, they have nuclear technology. In general, few people have them ... Well, why are we climbing with these VNEU. We would make small reactors for boats like Varshavyanka or Lyra. And armed with Zircons (besides everything else) could and frighten the foe. And so everything is puffed up - and like those, and like these laughing

      Make small reactors

They are already in use at Poisedons.
Therefore, ours do not bother with VNEU.

This is reported by the newspaper L'Opinion.

The newspaper could publish both drawings and diagrams that it should load the intelligence officers.
The repair technology is the same.
