The American authorities expressed concern about the events in Sudan caused by the actions of the army of that country. The arrest of representatives of the Sudanese government is of particular concern to Washington.
This was written by the special American envoy to the countries of the so-called Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman on the Twitter page belonging to the Bureau of the US State Department for African countries.
As noted on the Facebook page of the Sudanese Ministry of Information, at this time, the head of the Sudanese government, Abdullah Hamduk, who was put under house arrest by the military, appealed to the people of the country and urged them to take to the streets to defend the gains of the revolution. The arrested prime minister called on citizens to protest against the military coup.
Hamduk urges Sudanese people to stick to peace and take to the streets to defend the revolution
- reported in the Ministry of Information.
They argue that the military are trying to force the prime minister to publicly support the coup d'etat and to recognize the correctness of the actions of the Armed Forces.
Ранее "Military Review" drew attention to the fact that the events in Sudan could have serious consequences for Russia, since in this country it was planned to create a logistics center for the Russian Navy. It should appear in the port city of Port Sudan.
