Ukrainian post office buys body armor for employees
The state postal enterprise JSC "Ukrposhta" made a decision to purchase 1850 sets of 3rd class body armor. Information about ordering almost two thousand body armor is presented on the procurement website. The initial cost of the supply contract is UAH 8 with value added tax.
Expect from bulletproof vests: protection class not lower than the third, weight no more than 7,5 kilograms, the ability to adjust in height from 170 cm to 188 cm, adjustments in size from 48 to 58. The plate on the inside should have a damper soft coating, on the outside - special material, and then - a protective cover.
A label must be sewn on the inside of the body armor indicating the protection class of the body armor in accordance with GOST 8782: 2018, the date of manufacture, the product number and the batch number. The main thing is that the body armor should be easy to put on and take off, and it should also be comfortable to drive a truck or car in it.
The auction was attended by the Kharkov plant of personal protective equipment with an offer of 5 hryvnia, and the Military Army Market with an offer of 949 hryvnia. Then the Kharkov plant offered the final version of the body armor for a total of 600 million hryvnia.
However, the Military Army Market still bypassed the Kharkov plant of personal protective equipment, since it reduced the cost of its product and put forward an offer worth 4 hryvnias. Thus, Ukrainian postal workers will receive body armor from VAM LLC, registered in 625 in the city of Irpin, Kiev region of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrposhta JSC purchased 400 pistols, which, as the organization said, will arm escort drivers, whose duties include protecting material and monetary values sent by mail. Bullet-proof vests, apparently, will also be required by the escorts and the protection of large post offices.
