A video of the movement of a Russian convoy with damaged armored vehicles in Syria appeared on the web
A video of the movement of a Russian convoy with armored vehicles on one of the roads in Syria appeared on the Web. The description for the video says that the shooting took place in the area of the city of Baniyas in the north-west of the Arab Republic.
The video was posted on social networks, the video shows a convoy of Russian KamAZ vehicles carrying armored vehicles belonging to the Russian military police on semi-trailers. As you can see from the video, the trawls carry BTR-80 and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, as well as a Typhoon-K armored vehicle with increased security.
It is difficult to determine the technical condition due to the quality of the shooting, one of the BTR-80s lacks a front wheel, and the other equipment shows damage. All armored vehicles have flat tires. As stated, there were about 10 pieces of damaged equipment in the convoy.
Judging by the latest reports from the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, Russian military police and military personnel did not engage in hostilities, and there are no reports of damage to military equipment. According to the publications of the Arab media, on October 15, the Turks suffered losses, in the province of Idlib, when a military convoy was moving on the Maaret-Misrin highway, an armored car of the Turkish army was blown up as a result of an explosive device, two soldiers were killed, five were injured. There are no Russian military reports.
Returning to the convoy of Russian armored vehicles, it can be assumed that these combat vehicles were damaged in various situations and at different times, after which, due to the impossibility of on-site repairs, they were collected in one column and sent to one of the Russian military bases, most likely in Tartus ... Further, there are two options - repair in the workshop of the base or sending to Russia.
The Ministry of Defense does not comment on the video that has appeared.
