
The intention of the Russian government does not include a reduction in defense spending planned according to the state armaments program to 2020 (GVV-2020), Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said today, RIA News.
“We don’t write the script here, but on the whole I want to say that we will not have any reductions in defense spending and plant renewal,” he said on the Vesti FM radio station.
The Vice Prime Minister recalled that before 2020, under the HPV-2020, it is planned to allocate 20 trillion rubles for upgrading weapons and military equipment for the Russian army, and another 3 trillion for upgrading defense enterprises.
