Russia has developed a new all-weather drone capable of splashdown and takeoff from the water surface. developer drone-Rescuer Seadrone is a Russian company "Shooting from the air".
The new drone is positioned as a deck-based rescue drone, capable of operating in a wide temperature range of temperatures without loss of efficiency, not afraid of moisture, capable of splashing down and taking off from the water surface. According to the press service of the developer company, the drone was tested in arctic conditions, as well as in the desert.
The Seadrone has a fully sealed hull that allows short-term submersion under water to a depth of one meter and operation in difficult weather conditions, including the open sea. The drone runs on both batteries and a gasoline engine. Stay in the air up to 4 hours, payload - 5 kg. Empty weight - 15,5 kg. Able to work effectively at temperatures from -40 to +55 degrees Celsius. Control mode: manual, semi-automatic and automatic with following a given route.
To perform work in the Arctic latitudes, as well as in Africa and the Middle East, the drone is equipped with a fully sealed rotor group
