The North Korean military conducted regular tests, launching two missiles of an unknown type at once towards Japan. This is reported by the Japan Coast Guard.
According to the published information, the missiles were launched at intervals of several minutes towards the Sea of Japan. The launch information is also confirmed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea. At the moment, neither the Japanese nor the South Koreans have information about the type of missiles, but it is suggested that they may be ballistic.
Both missiles fell outside Japanese territorial waters, the fall was recorded by Japanese control.
Note that this is the second test carried out by the DPRK in recent days. On September 13, the DPRK Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC) reported that on September 11 and 12, the North Korean military had tested a new type of long-range cruise missile. It was noted that the missiles were launched from a mobile ground installation and, having flown about 1500 km, fell into the sea.
In Pyongyang, the passed tests were recognized as completely successful. It is emphasized that the DPRK has one more "deterrent" factor.
According to military experts, frequent launches of unidentified missiles may indicate that tests of new developments have begun within the framework of programs for the creation of ballistic and cruise missiles. North Korea is very active in such developments and is not going to stop.
