China comments on CNN report on US intelligence obtaining data on virus research in the laboratory of the Chinese city of Wuhan
The American media is spreading data on the study of viruses by Chinese scientists, which (data) is allegedly obtained by American intelligence. We will remind that earlier US President Joe Biden instructed intelligence to clarify the issues of the appearance of COVID-19.
CNN stated that as a result of the hacking of the servers, it was possible to establish information related to research activities in the laboratory of the Chinese city of Wuhan. As a result of such a hack, information was obtained about research activities in relation to 22 thousand different viruses.
At the same time, it is reported that a thorough analysis of the data is being carried out to determine whether there is any information about the study of coronavirus among this huge array. A supercomputer at the US Department of Energy is used to analyze such a large dataset.
In addition, it is said that US departments "have to look for specialists who are familiar with the Chinese language at a level that allows them to translate highly specialized information into English." This, as stated, makes it difficult to process the extracted data.
It turns out that the American channel unambiguously makes it clear the following: American intelligence also uses methods of hacking the servers of critical facilities, including biological laboratories. With this approach, it is possible that unauthorized access to data can in one way or another affect not only the data leak, but also the leak of the direct research objects - the same coronaviruses.
China has previously repeatedly denied American accusations of creating a new coronavirus, a pandemic of which has swept the planet. Beijing believes that this virus could have been brought to the PRC from the United States.
Commenting on CNN's materials, China this time notes that American reporters "once again confirm the unscrupulous and dangerous methods of work of American intelligence, which can be based on rigging data."
