British press: Dozens of Russian nuclear powered Boreis are close to Great Britain
The activity of Russian submarines in the Atlantic has increased, dozens of Borei Project 955 strategic nuclear missile carriers are next to Britain, says Sara Grilish, the author of an article for the British edition of The Sun.
Russian submarines dive deep in the Norwegian Sea near Britain, Grilish said. Dozens of "Boreis" are in the Atlantic at great depths. At the same time, no one knows the reasons for the deep-sea diving of Russian submarines. The author notes that they usually do not dive deeper than 400 meters, although the maximum depth of their immersion is about 900 meters.
As the author writes, Russian submarines can carry the new Zircon 3M22 hypersonic missiles capable of covering 2,7 km per second.
In London, the situation with Russian submarines was recognized as alarming. As early as the beginning of the year, there were concerns that a Russian submarine with cruise missiles could patrol the Cornwall coast. To ensure the safety of the G7 summit taking place there, a "steel ring" was created, which even included the aircraft carrier Prince of Wales. However, the Russian submarine was never found.
According to military expert Bruce Jones, Russian submarines are "teasing" NATO, making the alliance nervous.
The appearance of submarines in the Atlantic near Britain suggests that the Russians are paying more attention to deep-sea operations, thus hiding the actions of their underwater fleettrying to take control of the Atlantic.
Summing up, the author emphasizes that the Russian strategic submarine is called the deadliest submarine on the planet.
