Polish press: Russia has become less likely to use inflatable tanks, preferring real ones
The process of receipt of mock-ups of military equipment for the Russian Armed Forces has clearly slowed down. For the purchase of dummies that hide actual positions tanks, missiles and fighters, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has planned this year only 48 million rubles.
The "all-knowing" Polish observer writes about this in an article published by the Defense 24 portal.
The Russian Ministry of Defense officially continues to equip its Armed Forces with mock-ups in order to mislead a potential enemy who can monitor the basing and movement of equipment using air and space reconnaissance means. This is a worldwide practice.
The Polish press notes that this task, which was previously given a lot of attention in the Russian army, is no longer viewed as a priority. The observer came to this conclusion, comparing the allocated funds and the real cost of high-quality dummies of military equipment. According to him, with this money, the army can purchase only a few dummies of weapons. These can be inflatable planes, the selling price of which is 11 million rubles, rocket systems costing 9 million rubles, or standard models of T-72 tanks of 5,6 million rubles each.
From this, the Polish observer concludes: Russia has become less likely to use inflatable tanks and aircraft, preferring real ones.
