New clash with shooting occurred on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

Another clash took place on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. According to the press service of the State National Security Service of Kyrgyzstan, the shootout took place on the Batken section of the border.
As explained, the conflict took place in the Kum-Mazar area of the Batken district of the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. Residents of Tajikistan, without the consent of the Kyrgyz side, began to clean up the uncoordinated section of the border from sand, which the local residents did not like. At first there were threats, then stones were used. The border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan arrived at the scene. The first shots, according to the Kyrgyz side, were fired by Tajik border guards, the Kyrgyz responded. As a result, there were no injuries or losses on both sides.
(...) Citizens of Tajikistan tried to beat up a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. The verbal skirmish turned into a fight and throwing stones at each other. During the conflict, the Tajik border guards fired shots towards Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz border guards fired back shots towards Tajikistan

To resolve the conflict, representatives of the border service arrived at the scene with the involvement of law enforcement officers and representatives of local self-government bodies. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the inadmissibility of carrying out any work in the areas of the Kum-Mazar regions of Kyrgyzstan and Somonien (Dakhma) of Tajikistan.
It is noted that the conflict took place on one of the uncoordinated sections of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. To date, 375 of the 972 km of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border remain uncoordinated.
