Retired SBU general called on Kiev to implement the "Minsk agreements"
Kiev needs to return to the implementation of the Minsk agreements so that the situation in Donbass does not get completely out of control. Otherwise, Ukraine will face negative scenarios, said retired SBU general Vasily Vovk.
The retired general on the air of the Nash channel, answering a number of questions regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements, said that he was inclined to implement the agreements on Donbass, since the pressure on Kiev in this direction was increasing. According to him, Ukraine can be left alone with Russia and without the support of the West, and everything goes to this.
- he said, adding that in case of a "freeze" of this issue, Ukraine will face two bad scenarios.
Vovk stressed that the delay in resolving the conflict in Donbass could lead to a large-scale war that would begin in eastern Ukraine. The second bad scenario is a civil war that will start in Kiev and spread throughout Ukraine.
In creating such a situation in the country, the general directly accused the Ukrainian authorities, who for some reason decided that they were in the "major league" of geopolitics. Vovk compared Ukraine with a courtyard team, which suddenly decided that it could play on equal terms with the teams of the major league.
- he added.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is increasingly inclined to believe that the United States and Germany "threw" Ukraine, finally taking the side of Russia. Kiev emphasizes that they can no longer rely on formal political promises from Western partners.
