Information on receipt of an application from India for the supply of fighters from Russia has been confirmed. This kind of data appeared against the background of the MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon taking place in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow.

According to the latest information, the Indian side has requested from Russia the supply of a batch of carrier-based fighters of the MiG-29 family. We are talking about combat aircraft MiG-29K / KUB.

At the same time, it is known that a set of works related to the modernization of these fighters is also expected.

Recall that India has the Vikramaditya aircraft carrier. At one time, it was built at the Nikolaev shipyard in the USSR as "Admiral fleet Gorshkov ". For India, it was rebuilt in Severodvinsk - at Sevmash.

Also in India, the light aircraft carrier "Vikrant" is being completed. At the moment, it is being equipped with weapons.

The issue of the composition of the Vikranta aviation wing is being considered. The Russian MiG-29K / KUB, announced for purchase, consisting of up to 14 units, are planned to become the basis of this wing. In total, by 2035, the Indian Navy intends to receive 3 such aircraft-carrying warships. First of all, it is planned to use them for patrolling in the waters of the Indian Ocean, including the waters off the Andaman Islands.

Well, at least some orders, otherwise the MiG does not even make itself or very little.

If only ours would not "fill up" this order, otherwise losing the contract would be a severe blow to the reputation of our defense industry.

Some strange idea of a corporation, why suddenly Sukhoi plows, and MIG sits and sucks his paw? There is enough work for everyone, if MIG does not issue ready-made aircraft does not mean that workers and designers are sitting idle

This is what the life-giving springboard on the tank does. It was not for nothing that India's aerobatic helicopter flew in the skies of MAKS.

Because Russia doesn't fucking need them - you need to build other ships from auxiliary to frigates and helicopter carriers.

Yes? Well - do we have a lot of these frigates, and even more so - helicopter carriers? Maybe - compare with the Chinese for example?

No, Russia needs aircraft carriers, but not in the first place, of course.

India is a difficult, unpredictable buyer, but Russia needs it.

This is such a thing. But to be honest, we are not a gift either wassat A case from life: If anyone has been to the Sayan most likely knows what Shumak is. 2007 year, winter, we come to the valley, we settle in "Svetolka". Under the bunk there is a cardboard box and in it ... drawings from "Irkut" - this farm was just brought in for kindling and thrown away. There, of course, there is something to do at the springs, but there is still nothing to do on "long winter evenings". We climbed into the blueprints (fortunately, all experienced engineers bully ), it looks like the drawings were about the engine mount (I will not say more precisely, because not an aircraft engineer). But the most interesting thing in those drawings is the stamp in the corner - "Not for transfer to a foreign customer." And so on every sheet. Who would care for the good? as? for what purpose? intent? or our usual mess? Golovnyakov did not want to, therefore, the drawings went to their intended purpose - to the stove. But the very fact ...

Of course, it's a mess and I do not urge you not to pay attention to it, but. A joke from the Soviet era, when the Americans got hold of the blueprints of a secret Soviet fighter. They began to collect, and a bulldozer came out. Well, further, about notifications, adjustments and other additions. I don’t know how on the Irkut, but with our drawings the Indians were scratching their turnips for a long time, after the transfer under license. So it’s not a fact that according to those you talked about, something worthwhile could be collected. hi .

I believe that the drawings are with repair tolerances. And the tolerances we have ... that's just "if you get a bulldozer - finalize with a file." They are really "not for transfer"

Yes, first the MiG-29K, and then the Su-75 will also appear.

If the single-engine Su becomes a reality, then the Mig29 / 35 will obviously become the last production car of the once famous design bureau. Poghosyan, before leaving, very strongly redirected financial flows in the industry

About the interest of the Indians in the deck MIG 29 is a lie. These planes did not perform well. The Indians were not happy with them.

Hindus are unhappy with everything. Nonche, they are not happy with the Rafals that they turned out to be twice as expensive from the promised price, although before that the Su-30mki were dissatisfied. In general, for every gypsy, there is another gypsy who will beat him.
