"Since 2008, NATO has not taken a step to admit Ukraine to its membership": the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry criticized the military bloc

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba criticized the North Atlantic military bloc very harshly. The reason for criticism was that the alliance has not yet provided Ukraine with the coveted MAP - a membership action plan. Usually such a plan prescribes the stages, the final of which is the country's admission to NATO.
In an interview with Turkish reporters, Kuleba said that since 2008 NATO has not taken a step to admit Ukraine to the alliance.
Kuleba said that he was going to speak "extremely honestly" and pointed out that the situation for Ukraine has not changed after the NATO summit, which recently ended in Brussels. It should be recalled that for the first time in a long time, it was decided not to invite representatives of Ukraine to this summit, which caused an extremely negative reaction in Kiev. Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that when he was in office, NATO always invited Ukraine to join the summits.
Kuleba, through Turkish journalists, decided to remind NATO that Ukraine even included a clause on Euro-Atlantic integration in its constitution.
Head of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry:
NATO should provide us with a list of reforms that are required for membership. We have carried out a lot of reforms since 2014. And Ukraine before 2014 and after 2014 are two different countries.
It is possible that NATO is not particularly responsive to the constitutional changes in Ukraine, given the fact that Ukraine is a country where the constitution can be violated at any time. This is exactly what happened in 2014, which is pointed out by Kuleba, saying that they "must" Ukraine to NATO.
