The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland announced that the country is going to increase its combat capabilities on the eastern borders. In particular, according to the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Zbigniew Rau, strike-reconnaissance Drones Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2.
We are talking about 24 Turkish drones, the contract for the acquisition of which was concluded about a month ago between Warsaw and Ankara.
Zbigniew Rau:
The Bayraktar TB2 drones will help strengthen our military capabilities on the eastern borders, and with it, increase the capabilities on the eastern flank of NATO.
This statement was made by Mr. Rau during a forum in Antalya, Turkey.
The Polish Foreign Minister said that at the moment "the threat to the eastern borders of NATO has increased."
Recall that earlier drones from Turkey were bought by Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv is going to increase the number of Bayraktars in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, individual Ukrainian officials managed to declare that these shock drones will help "strengthen the sovereignty of the country" and will stand "guard of its territorial integrity." At the same time, both Poland and Ukraine make it clear that they decided to purchase the Bayraktar TB2 after the successful use of these UAVs by the Azerbaijani army during the fighting in Karabakh. Then the Azerbaijani troops successfully used them against various Armenian military equipment, including air defense systems.
