Two border patrol ships of project 10410 "Svetlyak" went on sea trials in Vladivostok

39

Two Project 10410 patrol ships (code Svetlyak), built at Vostochnaya Verf in Vladivostok, entered sea trials at once. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.

According to the report, on June 16, the Nevelsk and Nakhodka PSKRs, built for the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia, went to sea to undergo factory sea trials. The crews of the ships, together with the delivery teams, will check the operation of the mechanisms and devices of the ships. How long the tests will last and when it is planned to transfer the ships to the border guards is not reported.

It is noted that both ships were built according to the updated project 10410 "Svetlyak" under the 2016 contract for the construction of two PSKR for the Coast Guard of the Far East. Initially, it was planned that the delivery of the ships will take place by December 1, 2019, but the construction has turned into a long-term construction.

Border patrol ships of project 10410 are designed to protect the state border and the territorial sea, fight piracy and terrorism. The ship's design was developed at the Almaz Central Design Bureau (St. Petersburg).

Standard displacement - 375 tons, length - 49,5; width - 9,2; draft - 2,5 meters. Power plant: 3 diesel engines M-520B with a capacity of 3 x 5400 liters. with., speed - 30 knots, cruising range - 2200 miles (at 13 knots), crew - 28 people, autonomy - 10 days.

Armament: bow AK-176M with a caliber of 76,2 mm (ammunition - 152 rounds), aft - six-barreled AK-630M with a caliber of 30 mm (ammunition - 3000 rounds). The PSKR has two OTA-40A-2 torpedo tubes with one set of the SU-406 control system. The armament includes 16 sets of Igla-type MANPADS, an MRG-1 or DP-64 anti-sabotage grenade launcher. In projects 10410B and 10412, instead of the 76-mm AK-176M installation, a second six-barreled AK-306M gun with a caliber of 30 mm is installed.

This one for the border guards - small, inexpensive - just right. And not those wonder-yudo doves of the world, on which billions were sawed. A helicopter-type UAV could be attached to it and can be stamped in dozens

Seriously armed, in comparison with those patrolmen that we have on the Black Sea go with one cracker on the tank, with a displacement of 6000 tons! negative negative

You deliberately made a mistake in the displacement of the patrol ship of Project 22160, having named the displacement figure of 6000 tons, although everywhere in its characteristics the total displacement is 1700 tons.

Tralflot confused the displacement with the range, but for any project 22160 is a pale shadow compared to the "Fireflies"! hi

This type is already seriously disarmed. wink .

Here is the Soviet Firefly. AK-176M in the bow, AK-630 full-fledged in the stern, 2 TA, 24 mines / depth charges + foundation under the Kh-35 / TA anti-ship missile

This same subtype is already in Russia - TA was removed, the foundations are used for anything useful, for example, by boat.

Transitional type from the 00s. AK-176M and AK-630 were thrown out and two light AK-306M were delivered. The firing radar was also thrown out, shoot from the speakers. They installed bulwarks, redesigned the superstructure and internal premises.

Well, the final type. Only one AK-306M and 2 manual MTPUs remained. The area for receiving cargo from the helicopter was expanded and the possibility of basing the S-100 UAV was added, but the UAV itself died under amusing sanctions, sadness.

The British with one clapperboard can go even to Australia and be at sea 210 days a year. Firefly never dreamed of such indicators.

But, they made expensive 22460, as many as 14 pieces. With this money, full-fledged Fireflies could be riveted ...

10410 and 22460 are very different ships. One is an unarmed PLO boat and the other is a patrol ship with the ability to work with a helicopter.

The helicopter can land on this trough in complete calm and only if there is a great need.

22460 is an ordinary budget cut.

10410 remained unsurpassed because it was created to carry out specific tasks for the protection of the state.

I strongly doubt that the collapse of the USSR is to blame, just the project for some purposes is not sufficient, for others it is redundant, and for others it is simply not needed due to the development of other more military-economically viable technologies.

So, our border guards have 3,5 DMZ ships.

When the old men 1135 are finally written off, then there will be really nothing to go further with BMZ.

Why, on the other hand, is a moot point. Again, the British, Americans, Japanese and Chinese use heavy PSKRs as warships, for different visits, as well as for solving different tasks where the fleet is undesirable (gunfire, heating / catching refugees, and even anti-piracy / convoy missions, especially where combat the ship requires agreement with neighboring countries at a higher level).

Is it necessary or not? This is the question. In theory, it is optimal to transfer at least a couple of 22160 to the Coast Guard. So that they can solve their tasks in the DMZ calmly, without involving the Navy and, again, a heap of approvals.

There is a platform for receiving cargo from a helicopter and a UAV. This is a redesigned project. The problem with a helicopter-type UAV is that Horizon has died under sanctions. The Ka-226T PS FSB is still waiting. As a result, they made a bunch of ships, but there are no helicopters and UAVs for them.

    3 diesel engines М-520Б with a capacity of 3 x 5400 hp from.,

Not too much? Or they are also DGUs, they hardly put a gearbox on such a boat, or they made three lines of shafts.
On the other hand, powering all the electrics from the GU is also very wasteful in terms of resource, maybe a mistake in the text?

One thing pleases - the gun mount is not 57 mm! Although "Needle" is an empty zilch! Yes, the choice of weapons for the border guards is not clear at all! Why do they need a torpedo tube? Against border trespassers - fishing schooners, for example, from North Korea! A sad picture in the Navy with ship designs - leapfrog of conflicting and often useless ships! One thing is good - they give work to workers in factories and, at least do something! But even this something could have been done with greater benefit and efficiency!

= On problematic issues of the use of security guard of the Border Guard Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation =
Despite the fact that today the security guard of the FSB PS is coping with its tasks, taking into account new threats and there are a number of serious shortcomings in the concept of its application and technical equipment.
It is of fundamental importance that the existing concept is based on a “target” in the form of a poacher (or violator), which is not capable of serious active resistance. With this approach, with a sharp exacerbation of the military-political situation and the threat of terrorism, the FSB SS guard ships risk, when faced with a prepared and strong enemy (having, for example, ATGM or RPG, UAV or underwater means), to fail the combat mission ... I consider it necessary:
        1. Temporarily stop writing off PSKR with 76mm artillery (AK-176M), revise and repair their radar fire control systems RLSUO (or replace with new ones - "Bagheera" or ....), to solve problems in conditions of contact with the Naval Forces of Ukraine ( boats of the type "Gyurza-M") to attract precisely these PSKR.
        2. Return to 76mm artillery on new PSKR (type "Svetlyak"), in order to save money - the use of AK-176M from decommissioned ships (with the installation of a new modern radar control system).
        3. PSKR with 30 mm artillery should receive (at least for a part of PSKR) a remote-controlled module with a missile launcher (or SAM) of the Kornet-D, Attack, Sosna-R, Igla-S types, providing increased firing distances enemy destruction (surpassing those for boats of potential violators and terrorists).
        4. PSKR should have a general detection radar, providing detection, incl. ...., from the available (or in "high readiness") small-sized is "Bagheera" (or ....), and the means ....
        5. New high-speed boats are needed (moreover, with launching and lifting devices (SPU) to ensure their use in stormy conditions). Taking into account new threats and tasks, it is advisable to equip boats with armor protection and weapons. 08.09.2018/XNUMX/XNUMX
