The first serial sanitary armored vehicles "Linza" went to the troops
The Ministry of Defense began to receive serial Lenza sanitary armored vehicles under the contract. The first vehicles went to the Southern and Central Military Districts. This was reported by the press service of the military department.
Russian troops began to receive Linza armored vehicles, but so far in small batches. So, according to the press service of the Southern Military District, two armored vehicles "Linza" entered service with the motorized rifle division of the 58th combined-arms army in North Ossetia. Another batch of ten "Lenses" entered service with the peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District, stationed in the Orenburg region.
In total, as stated in the Ministry of Defense, this year the troops will receive 56 ambulances under the contract.
The mass deliveries of sanitary armored cars were previously reported by some Russian media with links to their own sources. As it turned out, the Ministry of Defense signed a contract under which the troops will receive 56 Lenses by the end of the year. About further purchases, and they will undoubtedly be, while there is no official information.
The Linza sanitary armored vehicle is based on the Typhoon-K 4X4 chassis, it has a double cabin and a sanitary compartment that allows evacuating the wounded from the battlefield. The compartment has a capacity of four people lying down, or six people in a sitting position. A combined option for transporting the wounded is possible - two lying and three sitting. The vehicle has a smooth ride and can deliver the wounded over rough terrain as comfortably as possible.
The armored car has a third class of protection, provided by a combination of ceramic armor and armor steel. Mine protection withstands blasting up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent under the wheel. At the same time, the destroyed wheel provides up to 50 km of driving on rough terrain.
