The first serial sanitary armored vehicles "Linza" went to the troops

23

The Ministry of Defense began to receive serial Lenza sanitary armored vehicles under the contract. The first vehicles went to the Southern and Central Military Districts. This was reported by the press service of the military department.

Russian troops began to receive Linza armored vehicles, but so far in small batches. So, according to the press service of the Southern Military District, two armored vehicles "Linza" entered service with the motorized rifle division of the 58th combined-arms army in North Ossetia. Another batch of ten "Lenses" entered service with the peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District, stationed in the Orenburg region.

In total, as stated in the Ministry of Defense, this year the troops will receive 56 ambulances under the contract.

The mass deliveries of sanitary armored cars were previously reported by some Russian media with links to their own sources. As it turned out, the Ministry of Defense signed a contract under which the troops will receive 56 Lenses by the end of the year. About further purchases, and they will undoubtedly be, while there is no official information.

The Linza sanitary armored vehicle is based on the Typhoon-K 4X4 chassis, it has a double cabin and a sanitary compartment that allows evacuating the wounded from the battlefield. The compartment has a capacity of four people lying down, or six people in a sitting position. A combined option for transporting the wounded is possible - two lying and three sitting. The vehicle has a smooth ride and can deliver the wounded over rough terrain as comfortably as possible.

The armored car has a third class of protection, provided by a combination of ceramic armor and armor steel. Mine protection withstands blasting up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent under the wheel. At the same time, the destroyed wheel provides up to 50 km of driving on rough terrain.

    I don't know about you, but it seems to me that the troops will call her not a lens, but an enema crying

      It would be better to call it "Tablet", so it is more familiar and logical.

      I do not know HOW she will be called in the troops, but the main thing is that the car fulfilled its purpose! The rest is on the conscience of the "jokers"!

    Decent cross-country ability is a big plus for an ambulance.

    We would like the Americans to learn how to do - to sell trash to backward countries, and buy a new one for ourselves.

      Duc, we do not have enough of our own trash. Everything is killed to the point. So there is nothing to sell.

    Yes, for the place of "loaves" is a good replacement, and served 81 - 83 years. A lightly wounded man will ask for it, let him steer! good

      In the rear, "loaves" are more suitable and will not go anywhere. "Typhoon" because the sea is eating fuel ...

          I said, IN THE BACK. Why would the Russian military be transported from the rear garrison to the regional center in a "tank"? As they drove in "loaves" in such cases, they will carry it. I served, traveled from the garrison to the hospital, and I know, not whine, as some "ferrets" are trying to imagine.

            Probably, in a direct clash, "Linza" will not be chased. The main thing is the evacuation of the wounded and the dead, when you are wounded, no matter what they pull out, by dragging, on an infantry fighting vehicle or "Motolyga", a turntable, then a "Lens" or "Tablet", the main thing is time.
            In the rear, on good roads, you can get to the central hospitals on normal roads and in Gazelles.
            I read that Typhoon-K 6x6 has a fuel consumption of 35-41 liters per 100 km. "Lens" has a cruising range of up to 1000 km., 2 tanks of 180 liters. Most likely, its consumption should be no more than 20-25 liters. per 100 km., taking into account the weight of at least 15 tons.
            UAZ "Loafs" have an average consumption of 12 to 18 liters. per 100 km, taking into account the disconnected / connected front axle, road conditions.

              In peacetime, it is absolutely unnecessary. And we have a "loaf" from the medical unit to the hospital 50 km away. I drove almost every day. So there can be no question of completely replacing them with "lenses".

    No matter how the higher liberalism did not make fun of such a name and in general .. And the series went into cars that are very necessary to save the lives of our soldiers and the doctors who save them .. They did not write much about this, but this is a very important structure in the Army and in general. Quickly deliver the wounded to a hospital or a helicopter during shelling and rough terrain ...
    Good article and topic .. And everyone who sneers and throws mud at these cars, I wish you health and strength so that the wounded run screaming to the hospital ..
    God forbid, of course, but still hi

    I think they called it "Lens" because the inside of the sanitary compartment looks like a lens. Bottom V-shaped mine protection, top ^ -shaped drapery of the compartment of medical equipment.

      Assignment of names to models (products) of types and types of weapons is usually carried out in accordance with one of the established traditions:

      by the name of R&D, competition or the desire of designers: “Rook”, “Judge” and the like;
      according to the letter of modification: “Angara” - S-200A, “Vega” - S-200V, “Dubna” - S-200D, etc .;
      abbreviation: “Kord” - Kovrov Orzujnikiki-Degtyarevtsy; "Nona" - the New Land Artillery Cannon, etc .;
      according to the logic of the series: self-propelled guns - “flower series”: “Hyacinth”, “Tulip”, “Peony”; air defense systems - “river series”: “Shilka”, “Tunguska”, “Dvina”, “Neva”; MLRS - natural disasters: “Grad”, “Tornado”, “Hurricane”;
      associative: man-portable air defense systems - "Arrow", "Needle"; jamming system - "Moshkara"; camouflage sniper costumes - “The Hobbit”, “Kikimora”;
      military humor or military jargon: handcuffs - "Tenderness"; infantry shoulder blade and a family of radio stations - "Excitement", a heavy flamethrower system - "Pinocchio";
      in honor of the creators: tank "Vladimir" (named after the chief designer); anti-aircraft missile system "Antey-2500" (by the name of the developer);
      by a pronounced property or action: tank dynamic protection "Contact" (triggered upon contact); fire extinguishing system "Hoarfrost" (sprays powder), a shot to the under-barrel grenade launcher - "Foundling" (after colliding with an obstacle, an expelling charge throws a grenade to a height of 2-3 meters, where the explosion occurs)
