Large hydrographic boat "Boris Slobodnik" project 23040G entered the Black Sea Fleet
Large hydrographic boat (BGK) of project 23040G "Boris Slobodnik" became part of the Black Sea fleet... The solemn ceremony of raising the Andreevsky flag took place at the Novorossiysk naval base.
The boat joined the composition of the formation of the protection of the water area of the Novorossiysk naval base of the Black Sea Fleet. In the near future, his crew will begin working out coursework problems. Previously, the boat passed state tests, which were carried out in the Black Sea, the crew, together with representatives of the plant, carried out a full check of the functioning of the life support systems and onboard equipment of the vessel.
The boat was built at the Nizhegorodsky Teplokhod shipyard in the town of Bor. It is the fourth in a series of six BGKs of this project, laid down in 2018. The displacement of the boat is 153,7 t, (full - 192,7 t), length - 33,04 m, width - 6,8 m, average draft - 1,6 m.Equipped with two diesel engines with a power of 248 kW each, full speed 12,7 knots.
The boats of the project 23040G are a further development of the harbor boats of the integrated rescue support of the project 23040 and are designed in accordance with the technical requirements of the Main Command of the Russian Navy. Designed to survey the bottom relief and survey navigation hazards at depths of up to 400 meters, as well as survey of the relief with a single-beam echo sounder at depths of up to 2 thousand meters.
In addition, the boat will be able to service floating signs, deliver personnel and repair teams, carry out rescue and search operations, pilotage of submarines and large-tonnage ships. BGKs have a high power-to-weight ratio and an ice class, which allows them to operate on external roadsteads, as well as at a distance of up to 50 miles from their bases.
