According to the report, ten infantry fighting vehicles in a special version of the BMP-3F entered service with one of the Pacific Fleet's marine brigades. It is not specified when the equipment was received, but practical training with personnel on the development of new equipment will be held on June 16 at the Bamburovo training ground in the Primorsky Territory.
Last year, the Ministry of Defense announced that the marines will receive the BMP-3F, a "naval" modification of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, which is more buoyant. New "naval" infantry fighting vehicles should be replaced in the units of the marines BMP-2.
The BMP-3F is equipped with a lightweight water-reflecting flap, a telescopic air intake pipe, and water-reflecting flaps on the tower.
