"To preserve territorial integrity": the United States approved another package of military assistance to Ukraine
The United States decided to demonstrate that it does not leave Ukraine “without support”. It became known that an amount of $ 150 million will be transferred from the United States to Kiev, which Ukraine should spend on "strengthening its defenses." Such a package of military-financial assistance was approved by the Pentagon in the format of the so-called partnership assistance initiative.
This amount reportedly includes special equipment, as well as training and advice for Ukrainian military personnel.
The Pentagon said that such assistance will allow Ukraine "to maintain and protect its territorial integrity, as well as improve partnerships with NATO."
What American military aid usually leads to, can be seen in the example of yesterday's incident on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic. As Voennoye Obozreniye has already reported, the Ukrainian DRG, consisting of military personnel, whose training was recently carried out by American instructors at a base in the Mariupol region, carried out an attack on an observation post of the People's Militia of the LPR. As a result of the attack, five LPR servicemen were killed. It was noted that Ukrainian snipers were the first to "work".
Earlier in Ukraine, they began to declare that "citizens see less and less support from the United States." It is quite possible that the United States pointed out to Kiev that in order to receive military assistance and support, it is necessary to take the initiative. In Kiev, they could understand this in their own way - by carrying out the same attack on the NM post of the LPR in the area of the village of Golubovskoye.
