With the help of such UAVs, reconnaissance of the terrain will be carried out with the identification of objects and positions of the enemy, areas of accumulation of his equipment and manpower.

At the moment, the Russian Aerospace Forces uses Su-24MR aircraft for this kind of purposes. These are tactical reconnaissance aircraft capable of carrying out all-weather reconnaissance at any time of the day. The Su-24MR aircraft is equipped with an on-board reconnaissance system, which includes an AP-402M panoramic camera, an M-101 "Bayonet" radar, and an SRS-14 "Tangazh" station.
