Good news from Damascus - the release of journalists
The release of three members of the Al-Ikhbariya TV crew from correspondent Yara Saleh, cameraman Abdullah Tabra and driver Husam Imad was such good news.
In a previous article I wrote about their abduction. The guys went to shoot an army operation to sweep the suburb of Damascus, Tel Mnin. And during the performance of professional duty they fell into the hands of gangsters armed to the teeth.
Much they had to go through six days of captivity. They went through hell. One of them was killed. But this is the final stories yet she was happy, and Yara Saleh was able to hug her father again and shake hands with her colleagues.
The valiant Syrian army brilliantly conducted a special operation, at a time when the bandits tried to transfer the abducted journalists to another place. Their negotiations were intercepted, and the security forces became aware of these plans. As the liberated Yara Saleh told Novaf Ibrahim in an interview with the Voice of Russia radio station: “When the militants came out of the city with us, lighting flares appeared in the sky and a shootout began. My colleagues and I were divided, but as we heard the shootout, we immediately began to run And when we already met after our release, the three of us were very surprised that we didn’t come under fire. That is, no one shot at us. Our soldiers clearly knew who to shoot and who to save. "
Yara told how they were treated in captivity. Journalists were beaten, especially men. They were constantly threatened, fed with dried bread crusts, sometimes they were not given food for a whole day.
The very name of the Al-Ikhbariya TV channel provoked rage among the rebels, because this TV channel exposed their bloody crimes. But they were told not to kill the abducted journalists because they were supposed to be used to put pressure on the legitimate authorities.
Hatem Abu Yahya turned out to be the most persistent and recalcitrant of the film crew - he categorically refused to speak with the kidnappers. Therefore, they were brutally murdered. According to the film crew driver, 60 bullets were fired at him. Such was the rage of these nonhumans in relation to the proud and freedom-loving man.
The rest of the kidnapped bandits planted under the flag of the time of the French colonization, under which they now seek to destroy Syria. They were forced at gunpoint and threats of brutal torture to say that Hatem was killed by the Syrian army. Yara was dressed in a dark dress and forced to hid the head with a hijab - after all, they are annoyed by the fact that women in Syria have the opportunity to dress like they want - women in Saudi Arabia are deprived of this right. After all, the owners of these gangsters were in this country, and the people who negotiated for the release of journalists were ordered to negotiate with a gang of representatives in Saudi Arabia.
Yara Saleh reports: “Among the terrorists we saw both Saudis and Libyans, we heard telephone conversations and heard dialects not Syrian. When I saw their faces, I saw an incredible sight — these long beards, shaved mustaches ... I saw their Islamic extremism and fanaticism ... I, as a woman, have been subjected to such insults as I have never been. "
And now the video with three exhausted journalists appeared on the Web, and it was impossible to watch it without tears ... And looking at this muffled, frail girl, it seemed that the smile would never again light up her face.
And what a joy it was to see her, smiling, very tired, but with a happy gleam in her eyes, in Omayyad Square.
The freed prisoners were greeted by their colleagues - employees of Syrian television channels. Meetings, hugs, smiles ... It seemed that even the sun was smiling, rejoicing with happy people. After all, many no longer expected to see the guys alive.
“We are again ready to fulfill a duty to the Fatherland and the people of the country,” said journalists who had escaped from hell, “It’s impossible to strangle the truth, it’s stronger than terror and violence.”
"These are cowardly criminals who have nothing to do with Syrian citizens, who are loyal to their motherland!" said cameraman Abdullah Tabra.
The driver Hussam Imad, who carried the journalists and was abducted with them, spoke about the horrors of interrogations in gangster basements using sticks and electric current. “Thanks to the army and its gallant soldiers, today we again have the right to live,” he said.
People who miraculously found their freedom came to congratulate Syrian Minister of Information Omran Al-Zoubi.
The Ministry of Information of Syria thanked the soldiers for this feat, for the courage and courage they showed during this brilliant operation.
"The national media will remain the beacon of freedom and will never succumb to the threat of violence and terror. The victory will be ours," the Ministry of Information said in a statement.
And only the sorrow of the fallen in an unequal battle with the bandits Hatem Abu Yahya darkened the hearts of the people on this day ...
"He will forever remain in the hearts of Syrian media workers and journalists, who will continue to truthfully cover events and expose lies and slander about Syria and the Syrian people," the Ministry of Information said.
Let me not write more today about the terrible crimes committed by terrorists. There are a lot of them, but about this - in the following articles. And to this joyful article, you can add the fact that the Syrian army is winning glorious victories in Aleppo.
The quarter of Seif Al-Douley, which the militants held for three weeks, was released. Its inhabitants had to endure a lot - it was a real cruel occupation. Almost all of Ramadan was held in fear, the bandits kidnapped even the children, dealt with those who sympathize with the legitimate government. And now - freedom. People took to the streets to thank the soldiers for the fact that they now have the right to a normal life. Such a simple right that the "fighters for human rights" who support the rebels are trying to take away from them. World "fighters for rights, Chikatilo," as poetess Yunna Moritz once aptly characterized people like them, refuse to recognize gangsters as bandits. It comes to absurdity and curiosities - they even refused to recognize the explosion at the Rosa Damascus Hotel, where UN observers are based, as a terrorist act when Russia raised this question at a UN Security Council meeting. Apparently, this is an act of "struggle for freedom."
But the liberator army is a legitimate army under the leadership of President Bashar Assad, and not the gangster formation called the Free Army of Syria, but in fact depriving people of their liberty — it is the valiant Syrian army that shows us what real freedom is, freeing people from captivity and giving them the opportunity to live, hug friends, smile.
