The Russian army will receive special mobile Arctic “field kitchens”

Units of the Russian army deployed in the northern territories will receive a new special Arctic mobile complex for cooking and eating. This is reported by "Izvestia" with reference to the message of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the publication, the trials of the new "field kitchen" in the Arctic performance are at the final stage. The mobile dining room is operated in the 80th separate motorized rifle brigade, which is deployed in the village of Alakurtti, Murmansk Region.

The new mobile complex includes several D-30 two-link all-terrain vehicles, on the basis of which special vehicles have been created. First of all, it is the kitchen itself with ovens for baking bread products, boilers for preparing a full meal, etc. In addition, the complex includes a dining room that can accommodate several dozen military personnel. The dining room can be expanded due to the warmed heated roomy tent. The Arctic “field kitchen” also includes a mobile food warehouse, a water carrier and an auxiliary machine.

The complex is able to operate at temperatures below 50 degrees Celsius and is able to feed a large number of troops in isolation from the main base for several days.

Military experts note that this Arctic mobile canteen is necessary for units serving in the Far North. The opportunity for a soldier in isolation from the main base to get a full hot lunch in comfortable conditions is worth a lot.

This is more about pearl barley. If it’s cooked correctly, it’s a jumble. But buckwheat is hard to spoil ... wink

And I have a favorite dish - naval pasta.
No wonder, after all, he served in the Navy! By along the steps he entered the galley, he helped Coca.
In the naval galley, all pots and pans are firmly attached to the stove.
In case of a storm and rolling ...
Basically, there aren’t even frying pans - special baking sheets ...
Probably, something similar is also present in this mobile kitchen - this is, after all, in principle, a ship on caterpillars ... wink

He began his career in 78 in the south of Uzbekistan. In the canteen, the local Uzbek was a cook. I recalled the dialogue:

In the obmo 42nd Guards. Ministry of Internal Affairs at the PMHZ in Chechnya, conscripts still baked delicious bread according to Soviet standards and recipes. You won't find such a thing anywhere else. People from distant garrisons and checkpoints, when they came to Khankala, immediately, by the smell, like a zombie, drove to the bakery, because they were supplied with alcohol "for submariners", disgusting in taste. Now I looked at the video, saw these "bricks" and immediately remembered those times. Thanks! good

In the Arctic, such a kit (a can and a knife) will not work. There, a can of stew with Arctic minuses will turn into an ice monolith, into which you can’t hammer a knife. Kerosene, however, carry nada. And so, with this jar, if you successfully hit the forehead, you can kill a polar bear.

the main problem of the mobility of combat units is the provision of food and products, it takes a lot of time and energy to prepare food. I believe that it is necessary to work towards increasing the energy intensity of various sublimates and also in the efficiency of their assimilation. From practice, I can say that in mountain bikes with a large number of climbs, bioprotein bars go very well.
Of course, this does not in the least cancel the fact that a soldier needs to eat normal food at least once a day

We had one PAK-170 based on the ZIL-157 in the tank platoon, in the command platoon.

There was also a water carrier, also on the basis of ZIL, this car was no less useful than the kitchen - it constantly ran through the neighboring villages and brought a lot of useful and necessary things. smile

tests of the new "field kitchen" in the Arctic version are at the final stage. The mobile canteen is operated by the 80th separate motorized rifle brigade, which is deployed in the village of Alakurtti, Murmansk region.

Everything new is well forgotten old. In the 80s, when this brigade bore the proud name 54 MSD, in my company there was a kitchen assembled in a GTT with a booth. Of course, it was somewhat more convenient to cook in it than on the trailed one. But, as they say, there were nuances .... We left for the exercises, drove out of the park the equipment put in such cases and rushed towards the "big port city" Kovdor. We drove off the shelf kil 10, as our "kitchen" breaks down, and quite seriously. So we spent almost four days "on dry rations", and the first in general - dry black bread, a lard and a frozen onion. Interestingly, the bread was still dry before the war. Delicious ... And the weather is around 45 frost. This is not an anecdote ...

Must endure all hardships and hardships. When I asked the commander in the exercises about 20 years ago where to go to the toilet, he spread his hands and said the whole country is open in front of you. So we continue to celebrate the need throughout the country.
