Near Smolensk, a parade was held for one veteran of the Great Patriotic War

42

An unusual military parade was held in the Smolensk region. It was attended by members of the local garrison, young men and women from the Yunarmiya association, and members of veteran organizations. The uniqueness of this parade is not at all that it took place not in the main square, but in the residential sector, but in the fact that they organized a parade in honor of one person. This man is Mikhail Kugelev, a 97-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a participant in the battle for Leningrad, and battles to break the blockade.

Despite his venerable age, the veteran took a parade while standing. In front of Mikhail Kugelev, about two hundred junior army men, cadets of local schools, and military personnel passed.

Mikhail Semenovich himself is a resident of the village of Bogoroditskoye, near Smolensk.

The parade in honor of the veteran on the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade was organized by the Investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation in the Smolensk region.

Participants in a parade march passed the entrance, at the exit of which stood Mikhail Semenovich.

At the end of the parade, the veteran invited some of his participants to his home. The officers handed gifts to Mikhail Semyonovich, drank tea together and listened to wartime tales. The events were held as part of the "Thank you to every veteran!"

And as with his pension more than the Germans who fought with him, it would be better if these funds, which were spent on this show, were given to him

Actually, this window dressing is free, I personally participated in this a number of times. Nobody forced anyone. People just organized it voluntarily. And why is it you all measured in money. I am sure this veteran does not need money. And he needs such similar events. That honestly, no offense, I can not stand people who consider other people's money. Medvedev's salary, and retirement veterans. If you talked with veterans, you would know that they don’t need money. I’ll tell you even more that there are many volunteers who visit them and clean, congratulate them on their anniversary dates, and buy food. And they do it voluntarily and for their money. Nobody pays them. No need to align people on their own. I have a lot of materials from such events. There is also a video where boys and girls wear Soviet military uniforms and sing songs in the courtyard of the house where the veteran lives. And the grandfather the veteran plays a button accordion to them. Everyone is happy, both young and veterans. Yes, I can tell a bunch of stories with photos like that. And you have everything measured in money.
I’ll give you an example that not everything is measured in money. Three veterans of submariners from the same boat every May 9 come together. In our city, a field kitchen is being made for veterans. Tents, porridge, etc., and front-line stograms. I have been meeting with them for about 10 to May 9, we are sitting and drinking together. They tell me how they served and so on. Somehow the devil pulled me to ask how they got there with their pensions. To which the answer was received that the state takes great care of us, there is enough of everything, only many have pigs. They earn money on veterans, and they themselves make fun of them. All pensions are taken away, apartments are taken away, and veterans themselves are put in some kind of huts so as not to interfere. And they say that they have enough attention from the state, but no people. They began to forget about the victory. In general, they are the world grandfathers. Despite the fact that they are over 90 years old, they are drinking me, they still manage to dance with young waltzes. And you're all about the money. By the way, on negligent children of veterans, we forged the topic in local media. We arrived with NTV and Russia 24 removed the plot and showed on TV. The children felt ashamed; they decided to take them to the apartment that the state had given to the veterans, and the children squeezed it out. But the grandmother said that she would not leave anywhere from this private house. She was born here, she will die here. Volunteers and the administration did the repairs, the guys go to clean and carry the products and cook. And no money.
Here's another video on how a veteran commands howitzers

And here is another case with a veteran. During the parade, one veteran expressed a desire to command thirty-four. They stopped the convoy, put grandfather in a tank in place of the commander. And he led the column. Look at his eyes, does he think about money?

Yes, at least, Smolensy, every Siberian hut has different stoves, but there’s only one point! The honor of a warrior and the honor of his generations for our life, to which we are ALL! They owe him.! I’m not talking about a specific person, I’ll talk about All, our Grandfathers, Great-Grandfathers and Moms, and Dads! We are all Russians, for the land is ours, Russia! And who is there and what nationality, this is the 6th, we were, are and will protect our land and homeland, and then in peacetime, we can face each other in the face, who and what nationality, that would support the form!) But the land that our grandfathers gave us, we will not give!

Really cool thing! Huge respect to the organizers! But it seems to me that only one is still missing! We must do so that these people do not need anything at all! This is gratitude, I don’t have anything bad against the parade and only for! This is our memory, but give them a decent life! Though old age.

97-year-old veteran hosted the parade standing, involuntarily recalled one of the past parades on Victory Day in Moscow, when the first persons of the state took the parade lounging in chairs. That's what a true veteran, a real soldier, means!

"Iron Generation" of WINNERS. How many times I communicated with them, so many times I was surprised at their attitude to life, our young generation should learn from this.

Health, strength, and creative success to M.S. Kugelev, a veteran of the Second World War, one of the outgoing generation of Heroes. Why didn’t they write that he is the captain, the author of three books about the war.

"Smolensk, January 29, 2020, 09:37 - REGNUM A parade for a veteran of the Great Patriotic War - a participant in the battle for Leningrad, Mikhail Kugelev, a resident of Smolensk, was held by employees of the regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia on January 27 as part of the all-Russian action" Thank you every veteran! " on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee told REGNUM. "

Does this mean that the Investigative Committee will still hold similar parades at least in the village of Bogoroditsky. Are such mass parades waiting for us? Or limited to one veteran?
For reference. The village is five hundred years old. 1500 people live in the village.

What does mass parades mean? Victory Parade is held on May 9. In this case, a veteran, a participant in the breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad, was honored on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of his release. Another veteran of the participant in the battles for Leningrad was congratulated on a military band in Tajikistan. Not many of them remain, God grant them health and longevity. Video here.

That means. There are few veterans left, but I believe that there were still veterans in Bogoroditsky, maybe even the participants in the battle for Leningrad. And, in the Smolensk region, there are certainly defenders of Leningrad. How many of them are left, offhand in the Smolensk Investigation Department they say? And why such an honor to just one? I am for honoring, but not for showing off.
        Glad for M.S. Kugeleva! Sincerely.

And every day they are becoming less.
Maybe it’s time to raise the question broader?
One of my uncles did not reach the front. They bombed a military train. He returned home with an invalid. Hero, no? Or mom. At 14, she went to the factory during the war. The heroine, no?
For me, the entire outgoing generation is heroes. On their shoulders are pre-war collectivization, industrialization, post-war restoration of devastation.
