Defense Ministry completes rearmament of missile brigades at OTRK Iskander-M

The Russian Ministry of Defense is completing the re-equipment of the missile brigades of the Ground Forces from the Tochka-U missile system to the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system (OTRK). The latest Iskander-M missile system will go into service this week. This was reported by the press service of ZVO.
According to the report, the missile brigade of the Western Military District will be re-equipped with a new missile system, having received the brigade kit of the Iskander-M OTRK. The ceremony will be held at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region.

This spring it was reported that the next brigade kit of the OTRK Iskander-M, manufactured by the Kolomenskoy Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering (KBM) in conjunction with the enterprises of cooperation, was technically more than half ready. The brigade kit of 51 units of equipment includes: self-propelled launchers, transport and loading vehicles, missiles, an integrated automated control system, means of monitoring the technical condition, data preparation center.
