On October 9, the Turkish president announced the start of the "Source of Peace" military operation and the formed Turkish army immediately launched an offensive in northeastern Syria, wedging into the territory occupied by pro-American Kurds.
According to the PRC media, the latter have no chance of resisting this onslaught without outside interference, since Ankara has the second most powerful armed forces in NATO. The United States actually left them to their fate, having withdrawn their troops before the indicated offensive.
However, according to the Chinese press, it is difficult to call the US Army’s flight a planned departure. Evacuation occurred in an emergency. Supplies and equipment were left. On the territory of the abandoned objects, watch dogs abandoned by the US military roamed. All this property went to the Syrian army, which occupied the former enclaves of the US Armed Forces on the heels of the outgoing troops.
The US Army’s refusal of dogs provoked strong condemnation from the lovers of these pets, who accused the US forces of inhumane behavior
- write the Chinese media.
However, their interest is also caused by the outcome of the fights expected by the PRC press between tanks T-62 and T-72 of the Syrian army and M-60 of Turkish troops:
