Militants intensified in Syria: two bombs on the way of the Russian patrol

59
In Syria, against the background of the Turkish operation "Source of Peace", the militants of radical groups have intensified significantly. On October 11, in the Syrian province of Daraa, militants attempted to undermine a Russian military police patrol car. This was announced by Major General Alexei Bakin, head of the Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties.

Militants intensified in Syria: two bombs on the way of the Russian patrol

According to the report, on 11 on October 2019 in the morning in the province of Derya near the village of Anhul, two explosive devices fired with a difference of 20 minutes on the route of the patrol of the Russian military police. First, an improvised shellless explosive device worked. As noted, the explosion occurred "next to the convoy", none of the Russian military was injured.

After about 20 minutes, a unit from the Syrian security agencies arrived at the scene, and at that moment a second explosion rang out, resulting in damage to one of the cars and minor injuries by two Syrian soldiers. The Russian military did not suffer as a result of the second explosion.

The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties associates the activation of militants with the start of the Turkish military operation against the Kurds. It is possible that attempts to attack civilians, checkpoints and positions of government forces will only increase. Earlier it was reported that in connection with the Turkish army’s attacks on the SDS (Kurdish militia), the latter significantly eased the pressure on terrorist groups against which the Kurds fought with US support. Thus, the more restrained terrorists gained relative freedom.

Clear business: it is difficult to fight on two fronts. And now we ask the question (with the obvious answer): who benefits from this?

      In topic:

"Putin said that Turkey's attack on the Kurds could lead to the spread of IS.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that after an attack by Turkish military personnel on Kurds in northern Syria, the detained militants of the Islamic State terrorist organization (IS (the organization is banned in Russia) - banned in Russia) could simply escape from the destroyed prisons. The corresponding transcript is published on the Kremlin website.

The Russian leader noted that in the north of the SAR are areas where terrorists are still currently located.

“They are still guarded by Kurdish military units. Now the Turkish army enters there, the Kurds abandon these camps. In fact, these are ISIS militant detention camps, ”Putin explained.

The President also expressed doubt that the Turkish side will soon be able to take control of the situation. "

Trump is to blame, who announced the withdrawal of American troops and the refusal to support the Kurds After all, without this statement, the Turks would not have dared to start the operation.
The many years of war against the Islamic State went down the drain if thousands of Islamists were freed (or given a chance to escape).

So there is no front. there is focal resistance and small partisanism. At night, the toyot infantry occupied the jumper on the M4 (the main route of the Hassaka-Aleppo region). The transfer from the eastern sectors (Hassaka and Iraq) to the western ones is now possible only through the Hassaka-Euphrates-Rakka highway. Or by country.

And in general, there are no tight fights so far. The Sultan lowered his version of East and West in a deep raid. Reinforced by army cells. Army groups with armored vehicles still stand on the Turkish side, not a single tank has crossed the border. That is, the Kurds may well give the battle approximately equal in strength to the enemy.
