Militants intensified in Syria: two bombs on the way of the Russian patrol

In Syria, against the background of the Turkish operation "Source of Peace", the militants of radical groups have intensified significantly. On October 11, in the Syrian province of Daraa, militants attempted to undermine a Russian military police patrol car. This was announced by Major General Alexei Bakin, head of the Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties.
According to the report, on 11 on October 2019 in the morning in the province of Derya near the village of Anhul, two explosive devices fired with a difference of 20 minutes on the route of the patrol of the Russian military police. First, an improvised shellless explosive device worked. As noted, the explosion occurred "next to the convoy", none of the Russian military was injured.
After about 20 minutes, a unit from the Syrian security agencies arrived at the scene, and at that moment a second explosion rang out, resulting in damage to one of the cars and minor injuries by two Syrian soldiers. The Russian military did not suffer as a result of the second explosion.
The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties associates the activation of militants with the start of the Turkish military operation against the Kurds. It is possible that attempts to attack civilians, checkpoints and positions of government forces will only increase. Earlier it was reported that in connection with the Turkish army’s attacks on the SDS (Kurdish militia), the latter significantly eased the pressure on terrorist groups against which the Kurds fought with US support. Thus, the more restrained terrorists gained relative freedom.
