A supporter of Ukrainian extremists planning a terrorist attack was detained in Crimea

Employees of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea prevented the terrorist act that a member of the Ukrainian extremist organization planned to commit by blowing up one of the administrative buildings of the republic. This was reported by the Center for Public Relations (CSP) of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
According to the information provided, the FSB officers detained a citizen of Russia in the city of Saki, Crimea, who was a supporter of Nazi ideology and a member of one of the Ukrainian extremist organizations, who was planning to arrange an explosion in one of the republic’s buildings occupied by authorities. At the entrance to the search, the detainee was found to have devices and equipment designed to carry out a terrorist attack.

A criminal case has been instituted on this fact, necessary investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify other persons involved in preparing for the terrorist attack and the illegal manufacture of explosive devices. With regard to the detainee, the investigation intends to request from the court the application of a preventive measure - detention.
