Features of the training and service of military doctors in the US Army
1
In his next video about the American army, Ivan Rudenko (a former Ukrainian soldier who took the oath of the United States) decided to switch to English and talk about the service of military doctors.
The video is presented as an interview with US military physician Ben Allen. Allen notes that he chose this profession, because after leaving the army after seniority he will have good prospects with his specialty “in civilian life”.
An 22-year-old soldier says that in order to gain the skills of a military medic, he first went through a fairly time-limited course - 18 weeks. This is the so-called AIT. During this course, young soldiers are trained primarily in first aid. The course is accompanied by practical exercises in the field. These classes Allen took place at the Camp Bullis military base.
A soldier notes that after the end of the army’s service and even during its passage, he will have privileges when entering a specialized educational institution. He is going to choose a university in San Antonio for study - simply because he is located near his place of residence.
The video examines the action in the United States of the GIBill program, which allows US troops to receive education on almost concessional terms.
