Four NATO countries sent observers to the Army Games ARMI-2019
Speaking at the conference call, the head of the military department said that four countries of the NATO bloc, namely the United States, France, Turkey and Slovakia, sent their observers to the international army games starting on August 3. A team of Greece will fully participate in the competition.
All in all, 221 team from 37 countries (189 teams from 32 countries in 2018 year) will take part in the competitions, seven of which participate in competitions for the first time. In total, the ARMY 32 competition program, which will be held on the territory of ten different states: fifteen competitions will be held on the territory of the Russian Federation (the Sayan march was held in winter), four competitions will be held in China, three - in Kazakhstan, two each - in Belarus and Iran, and one in India, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. This year, in addition to teams from the armed forces of the ARMI-2019 member states, teams from the Emergencies Ministry and their counterparts from other countries, as well as subunits of other security agencies, will also participate.
In total, Russia sent invitations to participate in ARMI-2019 85 countries, applications were accepted until May 1.
