Over 2300 military personnel of the Strategic Missile Forces undergo "survival courses"
Regular groups of military personnel numbering more than 2300 people, including about 50 military women serving in the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) under contract service as soldiers and sergeants, arrived at training centers and training companies of military units and formations of the Strategic Missile Forces to undergo intensive general training ("survival courses"). The military training takes place from July 2 and will end on August 5-day field output 12.
In addition to these military personnel, in the RVSN training centers, within a specified period of time, “survival courses” will be held around 200 military personnel of the Western and Southern military districts and other military authorities.
The program for the passage of “survival courses” by military personnel focuses on physical, reconnaissance, engineering, fire, and other types of combat training, including on the basics of survival. All this is necessary to teach the learner skills that will enable them to act skillfully in extreme situations, to emerge victorious in the most difficult situations that arise when confronted with an adversary. More than 80% of the classes conducted include practical testing of actions in the field, and at least 50% of all field classes are conducted using personal protective equipment and at night.
The main efforts during the field entry at the final stage of preparation are devoted to the practical development and consolidation of all the knowledge and skills gained during the period of “survival courses”. The field exit begins with holding marches across rough terrain with many natural (ravines, hills, etc.) and artificial (smoke zones, forest debris, etc.) obstacles, as well as overcoming contaminated areas of the area in individual means protection. In addition, in the field, soldiers are trained to break up tent camps, build shelters and dugouts with improvised means to accommodate personnel, make fire and extract water with improvised means, and prepare food in the field.
In total, prior to the start of 2013, “survival courses” will be held by 100% of military personnel under contract military service, all military units, formations and educational institutions. At the same time, training is carried out in the training centers of the Strategic Missile Forces deployed in the cities of Pereslavl-Zalessky (Yaroslavl Region), Ostrov (Pskov Region), as well as in the school of technicians at the Kapustin Yar training ground (Astrakhan Region).
About 10 training of thousands of military personnel under military service under the contract, in accordance with the new programs, is carried out for six weeks in five stages, from May 2012 to January 2013, which allows reducing the separation of military personnel from performing their official duties in military units.
