In the Far East, a program for the construction of small missile ships (RTOs) of project 22800 (cipher Karakurt) for the Pacific fleet. In Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant JSC in the first half of June this year, the first two RTOs of this project will be laid, two more will be laid before the end of the year.

At the Amur GCC, construction of the 22800 RTO project begins in the interests of the Pacific Fleet. Two RTOs will be laid in mid-June, two more by the end of the year. The construction will be carried out within the framework of the contract concluded by the 22 Ministry of Defense in August 2018 for the construction of six small rocket ships for the Pacific Fleet. The agreement provides for the construction of four IRCs at the Amur GCC and two more at the Eastern Shipyard in Vladivostok. RTOs, which will be built on the Amur GCC, have already received their names in honor of the Russian cities: Pavlovsk, Rzhev, Udomlya, and Ussuriysk.

Small rocket ships of the 22800 project (cipher "Karakurt") - the Russian series of multi-purpose rocket and artillery ships of the near-sea zone (small corvettes). They are designed to conduct combat operations in the near-sea zone and participate in the fulfillment of tasks in peacetime and wartime, independently and as part of ship groups.

Main characteristics: length - 67 meters, width - 11 meters, draft - 4 meters, displacement - about 800 tons, cruising range - up to 2500 miles, autonomy - 15 days. The main armament is one PU UKKS (universal ship complex) 3С14 RK Caliber, one 76-mm gun mount AK-176МA, two 30-mm gun guns AK-630М or CIRCED Armor-M, two 14.5-mm or 12,7-mm MTPU machine-gun installations.

They will also be able to act as escort frigates. It is possible to build on the basis of corps 11356, but with a good GAKOM, missile-torpedoes in the UVP and air defense missile systems in the form of "Pantsyr-M" or an overcooked "Thor". The cost of such a ship will not be higher than the price of new corvettes, but with better seaworthiness, autonomy and habitability. PM ACHA has no alternatives. It can build ships and vessels up to 10000 tons. I used to build Apple and DEPL. Also built light cruisers and destroyers. The fact that he was in this position is one reason - the lack of orders for warships.
