Preparations are continuing for the Victory Parade, which will traditionally be held on May 9 on the Red Square of Moscow. As you know, once again in the parade will take part Tanks T-14 "Armata", which should soon not only act as demonstration exhibits, but also go directly into service with the troops.
Information Agency TASS cites the statement of the head of the Uralvagonzavod brigade of specialists for providing equipment to the parade. We are talking about the interview of Mikhail Begman, who spoke about the receipt of a special anti-slip coating by the T-14 “Armata”. Reported on the hull cover of the tank.
Mikhail Begman noted that the anti-slip surface of the armored vehicle is provided by an uneven relief, which allows for more convenient movement of tankers along the armor. Also, the roughness of the tank play the role of a disguising character.
The representative of "Uralvagonzavod" said that the analogue of such a coating is implemented on the RK "Yars".
Begman specified exactly what part of the tank is covered with a special material. According to him, this is the front of the T-14, which has a rather large slope. The lack of a rough coating often led to slippage of the tanker's shoes, especially if it was inclement weather. To avoid injury to personnel in the event of a possible fall, it was decided to use anti-skid coating technology.
