What will happen to the militia that escaped to Ukraine?
The film, which was shot at the initiative of a number of cultural figures of the LC, including the leader of the cheers and patriotic group “Novorossiya” Roman Mind, attracted the attention of many sympathizers. The shooting was completed on October 2 2018, with the full assistance of the authorities and the armed forces of the LC. The State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya even appeared in the frame. The premiere was scheduled for May 9, but now it is unlikely to take place: the prototype of the main character, the commander of the female tank crew of the NM of the LC, Svetlana Dryuk, has fled to Ukraine. Now she declares her readiness to fight on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and testify against the LC and the Russian Federation in The Hague.
This is certainly a colossal and unprecedented failure for LDNR and a wonderful excuse to rejoice for Kiev. There were no similar failures yet. The situation with the defector from the DPR, the ex-minister Yury Lekkutesem, cannot be compared, since the “minister” was in the Donetsk pre-trial detention center for a long time on charges of a number of serious crimes. Why and why they let him go and how Lextutes managed to get into the territory of Ukraine are also interesting questions. But in any case, it was immediately clear that this was the enemy, and no one was surprised by his deed.
Immediately, the situation is much worse: a woman who, with the light hand of Roman Mind and his associates, was turned into a superheroine, under the noses of the LDNR special services was actively communicating with Ukrainian intelligence, after which she took the children and family and now threatens to harm the republics by all means available to her.
It is clear that Novorossia (and even more so Russia) are not afraid of either its “extraordinary” fighting qualities, nor its alleged idle talk in the Hague. Svetlana Dryuk didn’t know anything and couldn’t know, but stories about the fact that the Russians are fighting in LDNR (and even Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin personally in the military transformer), every second or third militia says after the torture.
Moreover, initially there were certain doubts about the involvement of this woman in the hostilities. It is likely that the story was invented by the authors of the film. Over the years, in general, there are more and more heroes of unknown fronts, especially since this is a profitable business. More recently, I had a chance to communicate with one "hero" who claimed that during one battle he destroyed 7 enemy tanks. So the competence of the "militia" causes serious distrust.
Nevertheless, the blow to the image of Novorossia in general and to the corresponding power structures in particular suffered a very painful, though not fatal. Will any organizational conclusions be drawn from what happened and will anybody be punished? At a minimum, it would be worth banning the authors of the film, including Roman Mind, to approach the servicemen and military targets for a cannon shot.
By the way, the producer of the film about the heroism of Svetlana Dryuk Yury Milchinsky just a few days before the betrayal of the “militia” told one of the Russian publications:
Well there ... That went advertised "militia" to the "brothers". What is sad? Let's also show the movie on May 9 - do not disappear as such a good picture! Moreover, everything known to her Svetlana Druk will tell her Ukrainian curators quickly and quite well before May 9 may die in an accident or go to jail. It is unlikely that she will be forgiven for real or imaginary tank shots at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

And all because the people who are in charge of the LDNR are issues of ideological discourse that are unequivocally either recruited from the announcement, or they simply didn’t give a damn about everything for a long time. And until they are started to be held accountable and replaced by sane experts, the LDNR image will go to hell - and so on until the “militia” seems like a good fairy tale.
