Kiev politicians are outraged by the position of Armenia, Belarus and Serbia on the UNGA
Birch (real name - Blyakher-Birch):
After this post, Mr. Bereze users asked the question: what does he mean by “the civilized world”? And then gave some examples of those who voted for the anti-Russian resolution on the American directive: Kiribati, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuvalu, Micronesia, Maldives, Moldavia, Liberia, Samoa ... Great democracies of the civilized world ...
Irina Gerashchenko, deputy speaker of the parliament, expressed her indignation at the position of Belarus. According to her, the Belarusian delegation voted in favor of Russia, and this is “unacceptable.” Gerashchenko said that Minsk should not have voted so at the UN General Assembly, since “Kiev was expecting a neutral position from Belarus, based on the existence of the Minsk format.”
By the same logic, Germany and France also had to abstain in the voting, since there is also a Norman format. But not abstained.
Attacks were noted and addressed to Serbia. In an interview with the Serbian newspaper “Kurier”, the ambassador of Ukraine in Belgrade A. Aleksandrovich stated that the Serbian authorities “violated the gentlemen’s agreement”. Allegedly, the presidents of Serbia and Ukraine gave each other “verbal assurances” not to vote against each other at international platforms. Next from Alexandrovich went a kind of bargaining. The ambassador said that the position of Belgrade was not clear to Kiev, “but Ukraine didn’t support Kosovo’s membership in Interpol at the time.”
Recall that the Ukrainian resolution on Crimea was supported by 66 UN members, another 19 members were against, more than 70 abstained. And this is an anti-record for the Ukrainian draft resolution against Russia over the past few years.
