The owner of FC "Lion": It is difficult for us to find a plane that would fly to Ukraine
The situation is told by the Ukrainian media, reporting and the accompanying nuances of this decision. The nuances are connected with the fact that international-level football matches that are scheduled to take place on Ukrainian territory are hanging in the air.
Information Service UNIAN cites the statement of the owner of the football club Lyon (France) Jean-Michel Olas:
Earlier it became known that the match between Arsenal (London) and Poltava Vorskla in the Europa League was decided to be moved from the Poltava stadium to Kiev. It is noteworthy that the Poltava region by the Verkhovna Rada was not included in the zone of introduction of the EaP.
At the same time, the possibility of transferring the match outside Ukraine was also discussed due to the fact that martial law is beginning to operate in several regions of the country.
Conducting two more international matches in Ukraine is open to question.
Recall that the martial law provides, among other things, the closure of airspace. European air carriers, apparently, are wary of how Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile systems move along the streets of Ukrainian cities. Do they really not believe Poroshenko’s words that “the APU was not shot down by the Malaysian Boeing over the Donbas in 2014”? ..
