Forced: the DPR army destroyed two firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The DPR servicemen destroyed the mortar crew of the Ukrainian security officials, who fired at Gorlovka, reports Donetsk News Agency.
It is reported that 12 houses were damaged as a result of the shelling.
According to the deputy commander of the Armed Forces of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, the criminal actions of the mortar crew of the 58 mechanized brigade that fired at peaceful quarters forced the republic’s military to retaliate: as a result of a point strike, the calculation was destroyed.
In turn, the head of the press service of the operational command of the Republic, Daniel Bezsonov, reported on the firing position of the "punitive 36 brigade of marines" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed on the eve.
He said that the security forces opened indiscriminate fire from the Gnutovo village area controlled by Kiev in the direction of Kominternovo.
Thus, civilians of the village were subjected to a real threat. To eliminate this threat, a decision was made about a retaliatory strike: “The calculation of the DPR forces’s ATGM forces launched a missile, as a result of which the enemy’s firing position was destroyed,” Bezsonov said.
After that, the Ukrainian security forces attempted to fire at the positions of the DPR army from an armored troop-carrier. However, when approaching the line of contact, the APC exploded a mine.
This once again indicates that the Ukrainian army lacks an elementary concept of interaction, as well as a procedure for mining the territory near its own positions, the command representative said.
He added that over the past day, the 17 AFU had once violated the “school” truce, an agreement on which was reached by the opposing sides on August 29.
