Spissky Castle is the largest and one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia. We ourselves were convinced of this by examining this miracle of medieval architecture. We offer the reader to look at the photos taken by us.

Hail began to be built at the end of 12 - early 13 centuries. Hail stands on the 200-meter hill, the castle walls have a height of 20-40 m.
Belonged to the Kings of the Arpad and Anjou dynasties. Then, in 1464, he passed into the hands of Spišskogo hereditary prince Imrikh Zapolski. The latter, together with his brother Stephen, rebuilt the castle from a military fortress into a noble Gothic settlement. The hail was in the hands of Zapolsky before 1528.
In 1531, the city passed into the hands of Alexey Thurzo - and the last one rebuilt the City into a noble residence in the Renaissance style.
In 1636, Grad moved on to the Chucky clan. The latter also rebuild Grad in accordance with the requirements of time and their taste. Over time, the City became a point of deployment of the military garrison.
The hail gradually fell into decay, and in 1780, it suffered a devastating fire, losing its previous meaning. It belonged to the Chucky family before 1949.
In 1993, it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
