Erdogan's "Red Caliphate" under attack

Erdogan's “Red Caliphate” is under attack. Amid growing political and economic contradictions with the United States, a record fall in the value of the Turkish currency occurred.

Collapse of the Turkish currency, which forced the Turkish authorities to take emergency measures, occurred last week. On Friday, August 10, the ratio of the Turkish lira to the dollar fell to a historic low - the value of the dollar was 6,47 lira. The maximum drop since the opening of trading was 14%. August 13th historical the minimum was again updated: after the start of trading on Monday morning, the lira to the dollar reached 6,9 - the Turkish currency fell another 8%. Since the beginning of August 2018, the lira has lost about 40% of the value against the US dollar, and since the beginning of the year - more than 80%.

The record fall in the value of the Turkish currency occurred against the backdrop of growing political and economic contradictions with the United States. The next aggravation of relations with Washington occurred on August 1, when sanctions were imposed against two Turkish ministers. The reason for this was the detention of American pastor Andrew Brunson in Turkey, who was accused of involvement in the attempted coup d'etat 2016 of the year. In response, Ankara announced mirror measures, promising to arrest the assets of the heads of the Interior Ministry and the US Department of Justice, if they find any in Turkey. Following the exchange of harsh statements, Washington took economic measures, doubling the duties on aluminum and steel supplies from Turkey. “The duties on aluminum will be 20%, 50% - on steel. Our relations with Turkey are bad now! ”- American President Donald Trump announced the introduction of measures.

Following the start of fluctuations in the national currency Erdogan urged citizens to urgently buy the lira. Then he promised to get rid of the dollar in conducting foreign trade operations with a number of economic partners, including with Russia. According to him, Ankara can go into calculations in national currency also with Ukraine, China and Iran. In addition to financial measures to rescue the national currency, Turkish law enforcement agencies began to take measures to protect the financial stability of the country. According to the country's Interior Minister Suleiman Saul, who are led by Reuters, the security forces will take the "necessary measures" to combat accounts in social networks that spread "provocative" information that weakens the lira course.

August 14 Turkish leader boycotts American electronics: "They have an iPhone, but on the other hand, there is Samsung." He noted that Turkey will use the local brand of phones Venüs Vestel. According to Erdogan, the country is able to produce everything necessary: “Instead of ordering something abroad for money, we will do even better and offer it ourselves. Our people are capable of that. ”

Erdogan believes that the collapse of the lyre is associated with a "conspiracy" против Turkey Last Sunday, the Turkish president, during a meeting with members of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Trabzon, said: “The goal of this operation is to force Turkey to surrender in all spheres, from finance to politics. Once again we are dealing with a political insidious conspiracy. With God's permission, we can handle it. ” According to Erdogan, if the United States decided to sacrifice its relations with Ankara, then Turkey will give an answer to such a policy by finding "new markets, new partners and new allies." “We can only say goodbye to anyone who sacrifices strategic relations and a half-century alliance with a country with a population of 81 million people for the sake of relations with terrorist groups,” he said. Also, the Turkish president accused the United States of "conducting economic war against the whole world, including our country."

In addition, to divert the attention of the population from domestic problems, Erdogan announced the preparation of a new military operation in Syria. According to him, in the near future Turkey will free the Syrian territories from those whom it considers to be terrorists. The military operation called Olive Branch should create an 30-kilometer buffer zone along the Turkish border with Syria. In fact, this is a threat to Damascus and the Kurds.

The problems of Turkey, despite the machinations of the US State Department and the "internal enemies", are obviously of an internal nature. Ankara, led by Erdogan, who heads the country since 2003 of the year (2003-2014 - Prime Minister, then President), and the ruling political party - Justice and Development Party (AKP), are pursuing the creation of a "new Ottoman Empire" with ideology of neo-Ottomanism and Pan-Turkism. There was also a transition from secularism to Islamism. In the political system, there was a transition from parliamentary system to a presidential republic, contributing to the establishment of a strong centralized government, which was in the Ottoman Empire (Erdogan - "Turkish Sultan"). In foreign policy, neo-Ottomanism led Turkey to intervene in the affairs of Iraq and Syria. In fact, the Turks are waging two wars, not counting the confrontation with the Kurds.

After the failure and departure of the Black Caliphate (jihadists) in Iraq and Syria, there are three regional players left who can lead the Islamic civilization - Saudi Arabia (with the union of Arab monarchies and the "Arab NATO"), Iran - the Persian Caliphate ( “Shiite belt” from Iran, Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon) and Turkey with the project of the “Red Caliphate”, the heir to the Ottoman Empire and the Caliph of the Orthodox, with its capital in Istanbul and with a swing to the entire Turkic world.

All three projects have their own problems. The Saudis are mired in the war in Yemen, the confrontation with the "Shiite belt", have a lot of internal problems with the threat of social and political explosion and collapse. Tehran has serious problems - a project of the Islamic revolution in crisis, there is no development, stagnation and degradation. An attempt to solve internal problems at the expense of foreign expansion in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen ran into strong opposition (Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the United States) and a lack of resources. The population is dissatisfied with the deterioration of life, the waste of resources on three wars. At the same time, the United States is returning the sanctions regime, that is, at the root, they are undermining the main economic base of Iran. This leads to the failure of external expansion and internal explosion. The Islamic Republic of Iran is on the verge of very serious changes, perhaps a collapse of the theocratic regime.

Turkey has similar problems. Orientation to the West, the European Union and NATO has not justified itself. The West, as always, simply used Turkey to its advantage, in particular, against Russia. The model of soft Islamism, against the backdrop of the Kemalist crisis, initially yielded good results, but also exhausted itself. Ankara headed for the construction of the “Red Caliphate”. But the problem is that the country does not have the resources for this (as does Iran). Serious external support is needed (West or China). As well as serious reforms of the management system, relations between the government and society, economic restructuring, technological breakthrough.

In the meantime, Turkey has been mired in a “funnel of chaos” - Iraq and Syria (the Middle Eastern front of world war), and, apparently, Erdogan is ready to get into the Syrian war with his head. Inside the country, it is going to strengthen the personal dictatorship of Erdogan ("the sultanate"), the fight against all kinds of "terrorists and extremists." All this to the detriment of development. In this way, Turkey is inevitably waiting for the collapse and collapse. In general, it suits the global elite. One of the main tasks of “reloading the matrix” is the collapse, disintegration and disintegration of large states into smaller state entities that are easier to manipulate. At the same time, the zone of war and global turmoil is expanding, burning “excess population”, creating “living space” for a new world order.

Turkey along the way inevitably awaits collapse and collapse. In general, it suits the global elite
I would not be so categorical about the collapse and collapse of the country. The Turks coped with the attempted coup, and will withstand temporary difficulties. The main thing is that the fifth column, which apparently Erdogan did not completely uproot, does not take advantage of the situation. And apparently, the main NATO "ally" by its economic impact and the capabilities of the special services will contribute to this. For Trump to show the world that he has brought Turkey to its knees is the ultimate desire. Along the way, a warning to others that one should not resist the actions of the United States, whatever they may be.

Is it worth mentioning that the information about the upcoming coup was provided by Russia (it seems like VVP personally transferred Erdogan from our special services)? Otherwise, you are somehow optimistic about this regime. If they had not been warned, then ... "Sultan" (most likely) would not have been alive.

A country that exports services and goods even benefits the weakening of its own currency against the US dollar. They can offer the same tomatoes in the Russian Federation at a price below competitors. In addition, the flow of tourists will increase, as for 1 US dollar in Turkey they will get more services. This is in the short term.

Weakening the lira to the Turks is only good - I agree!

In general, it is not clear what the Turks are doing in NATO! Europe will never recognize them as their own - and Erdogan has repeatedly voiced this.

All their relatives - the Altai peoples, their ancestors, Tatars, Bashkirs, Yakuts, Kazakhs and Kirghiz, all the "Turks" that they themselves created - all in the CSTO. There are only Turks in NATO. It's high time for them to run away from there to us all

Erdogan believes that the collapse of the lira is associated with a "conspiracy" against Turkey.

always theft and idiocy of power is most easily explained by conspiracy.

How Erdogan voiced his policy - "Zero problems with neighbors", which very quickly turned into zero neighbors without problems, and the culmination of course - Erdogan threw himself and spat at everyone in a row until he ran into someone like him in the person of Trump, realized that he had gone too far, something there mumbles and whines with its tail between its legs. He wants as before, but there Trump will not give up his position and pride himself does not allow, in general, a dead end laughing

Erdogan can be understood, he is trying to build a sovereign state on the principles of "neo-Ottomanism." True, he lacks Putin's self-control and discretion. So he throws it from one extreme to another with a corresponding result. Turkey and the Turks (in this case, all the peoples of Turkey, not only the Turks) have a sufficient margin of safety, I hope, without fatal shocks.

These are still flowers, berries in front. I hope that these are just rumors, but .. Erdogan brought missile defense systems to Idlib and supplies RPG barmaley (you can say anti-aircraft). That is, the situation is this: the Turks will bring down the planes of the Syrian army, and the Barmalei - the Russian army. And the claim will be difficult to present. So the Idlib company will not be easy. Again, all this while the rumors are waiting.

Turks do not support barmaley. They are there against the Kurds and therefore are not opposed to us or Assad.

I wonder where did the author get that the jihadists in Syria and Iraq failed and went underground? They still bloom and smell there, although not as freely as they used to be, but secular Muslims, with the support of Christian allies, are still far from the final victory in Syria and Iraq.

And associations led by Saudi, Iran and Osmania are three very old phenomena, the names of which have also been known for a very long time - this is pan-Islamism, pan-panism and pan-Turkism. And all these three unions didn’t surrender to Russia. Absolutely.

Now it’s clear why Erdogan threatened to refuse to purchase US products due to the current lira exchange rate. But now there is confidence that he was not joking
