The production capacity of the state joint-stock holding company of Ukraine "Artyom" today corresponds to the release of 18 thousand shells (per year). Production volumes, if you believe the leadership of GAHK, is planned to increase to 360 thousands.
Acting president of the company "Artyom" Anton Karpenko told the press that South Korean machines had been purchased for the production of large-caliber ammunition. The purchase was made with the financial support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine.
Ammunition caliber 152 mm are produced in the framework of the Ukrainian state defense order. At the same time, Artem’s cooperation with other Ukrainian companies has been reported.
The first tests of 152-mm ammunition produced by Artem were carried out by the 1 quarter of the current year. These munitions are intended for self-propelled gun "Hyacinth", which in sufficiently impressive quantities remains in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Pavel Bukin, general director of Ukroboronprom, 152 mm ammunition is now mass-produced in Ukraine. Their shortage, according to Bukin, arose due to the fact that many warehouses and factories where such shells were made are located on the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions (DPR and LPR) that are not controlled by Kiev. About how many such ammunition was lost during fires in warehouses located in the territories controlled by Kiev (for example, in the Kharkiv region), Bukin did not spread.
Does the beginning of mass production of large-caliber shells in Ukraine mean a quick new wave of massive shelling of the territory of the people's republics of Donbass by Ukrainian troops?
