A number of Ukrainian retired military leaders, who have the reputation of “serious experts” in the country's media space, made rather similar predictions about the prospects for the development of the situation in the Donbas.

And the main instrument of this return, according to Romanenko, will be a memorandum, which Petro Poroshenko submitted to the International Court of Justice. This document is a retired general called "a gift to the Russians."

Much more interesting is the speech of the third commander, leader of the Ukrainian party “Civic position”, former defense minister Anatoly Gritsenko.
Like Romanenko and Bogdan, he also urged Ukrainians to rely on the efforts of the authorities and wait for the results that will certainly happen, but Gritsenko said that Ukraine would be brought not by an international court, but by some secret negotiating group, which secretly prepares the people's republics from all and the transfer of their population and territories under the control of Kiev.
“This is a closed working group of Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany and the USA. Periodically collected in Europe. However, a completely logical question arises: why does Gritsenko disclose confidential information about the existence of a secret group in which he cooperates (as evidenced by his words “we have proposed a phased strategy”)? Indeed, judging by what he expounds, the secret nature of the work of this structure is one of the necessary conditions for its successful work. Has the Ukrainian politician made its existence public in order to disrupt the work on the “return of Donbass”?
In addition, at the past 11 of June in Berlin, the summit of the foreign ministers of the “Norman Four” Sergey Lavrov categorically refused to consider the “Ukrainian version” of entering peacekeepers and linking the UN mission with the Minsk agreements. And it is completely incomprehensible why he should change his approach after Poroshenko’s re-election. Well, or after the election of someone else.
The calculation of Gritsenko could well have worked: there are enough alarmists in Russia and in the Donbas. However, his reputation as a embezzler, rogue, provocateur, and a man who is not responsible for his words greatly depreciates his speech.
There is no doubt that the appearance of almost synchronous three speeches is connected with the following circumstances: in the light of the upcoming elections, Poroshenko must, by all means, present the Ukrainian society if not “peremog”, then at least a dream of it, which should look more or less realistic .

To maintain the unrealizable hopes in the minds of Ukrainians, a whole psychological operation is carried out using notorious fakes. And this suggests that the Kiev regime itself does not believe in the possibility of a “return” of both Donbass and the Crimea. And prefers to be limited to imitating actions to achieve these goals.
