Heroic tractors

The Minsk plant of wheeled tractors MZKT in Soviet times was a secret division of MAZ. It was his multi-axle automobile chassis that was being driven across Red Square during the days of rocket parades, air defense installations and heavy equipment. After the collapse of the Union MZKT became an independent enterprise and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus. Today it manufactures products under the brand name “Volat”, which means “Bogatyr”.

MZKT-79221 is used as part of a mobile launcher for the complex “Topol-M”. Russia is sold for 4 million rubles apiece.

View from the cabin

Only the second “driver” in another cabin can see what is happening in the right mirror. They can communicate via walkie-talkie or gestures if there is no rocket between them.

16 wheels, all leading

MZKT-7930 (8 × 8) will carry on itself “Iskander”

Tank polygon. The film crew of the Technopark program of the Stolitsa TV channel decided to make a comic comparison of the MZKT 8022 and ...

… Opel Antara. Both have four-wheel drive, engine close in power, air conditioning and automatic transmission

Naturally, we specially planted Antara so that the elder brother could pull her out.

On the factory found several rarities. About this, I can not tell you anything.

But this is a real tractor apocalypse. MAZ-7907. Perspective is not the most successful, does not transmit the whole vastness, it was blocked by other machines. 30 meters long (height nine), all 24 four wheel drive. A ballistic missile of the Celina-2 complex was to be mounted on it. While the tests were going on, the cold war was over, and the only thing that this monster managed ten years after it was built - in 1995 - transported the 40-meter and 100-ton ship from Borisov to Lake Naroch.

To be honest, I was surprised at the openness of the leadership of the MWTP. MAZ, in contrast to it, despite all the agreements, flatly refused to let the film crew from Moscow anywhere, having driven a new bus to the street with the words: “Take it off”. But we drove exactly to MAZ, to do a report about the only remaining legendary MAZ 2000 “Perestroika”. Nothing was left of him except the cabin, which is probably why they were not allowed. Why was the head to fool?
