“Universal Soldier” of the Russian Aerospace Force of the Russian Federation: what is the Mi-35M capable of?
28
The topic of today's release of the popular weekly program “Military Acceptance” on Zvezda TV channel has become a helicopter, which is called the most belligerent in the world. This is a real “universal soldier”, which, on the one hand, combines the functions of a strike helicopter, carrying both missile and cannon weapons, and on the other, it has an amphibious compartment. His name is Mi-35M.
It so happened that every Russian combat helicopter has its own name. Ka-50 was nicknamed the "Black Shark", Ka-52 - "Alligator", Mi-28N is called "Night Hunter", but Mi-35M does not have such a resounding nickname. By mistake it is often called the "Crocodile", which is fundamentally wrong. Crocodile is its predecessor, the Mi-24.
The Mi-35M is more powerful than the Crocodile, more versatile than the Night Hunter, and most importantly, its landing compartment is protected by armor. That is why popular fame dubbed him "Flying a tank"or the Universal Soldier."
