The Ministry of Defense showed a video with three new armored vehicles: the Bear, the right-hand drive and the medical versions of the Tigr armored car, Russia Today writes.
Armored car VPK-3924 "Bear" is designed to deliver eight soldiers in full gear under heavy fire. Armor-piercing bullets get stuck in the spaced defense of the hull, the wedge-shaped bottom dissipates the energy of the explosion min. The 12-ton car with the 300-strong Yaroslavl diesel engine can accelerate to 90 kilometers per hour, and the independent suspension from the BTR-90 can withstand a blast under the wheel of six kilograms of TNT. Transmission in an armored car from the "Ural", on the roof, you can install a machine gun, grenade launcher or anti-tank missiles.
The second novelty is a light armored Tiger with right-hand drive. This feature caused a stir among the video commentators: almost every second was interested in or expressed his assumptions about where such cars would go. A seven-ton car made at the GAZ military plant can travel at 150 kilometers per hour and overcome off-road, and its armor protects from automatic fire.
The latest version is designed for the Emergency Situations Ministry, but the level of ballistic protection allows it to be used to transport the wounded from the battlefield. At the same time, it is also equipped with special medical equipment.
