Shoot down in motion: what can the newest "Tor-M2"
12
Tor-M2 was adopted by the Russian Armed Forces already in this decade, which makes it one of the most modern air defense systems.
The main objective of the Torah is the fight against low-flying objects such as cruise missiles, as well as with air-to-ground weapons. The complex is able to effectively repel massed rocket-bombing strikes and operate in the conditions of active electronic countermeasures.
"Thor" provides a cover for a group of troops, including on the march, within a radius of 15 km. ADMS is able to detect up to 48 targets, take 10 of them on an escort and shoot 4 targets simultaneously. At the same time, combat vehicles are able to exchange data about the targets among themselves.
Our main geopolitical opponent of the United States (and NATO as a whole) is not armed with similar air defense systems, which makes Thor unique in its kind.
