Another act of vandalism against monuments to Soviet soldiers who fell for the liberation of Poland took place in this Eastern European state. This time, as reported by the Polish edition Gazetaprawna, the monument is desecrated in the city of Olsztyn. This is a memorial bearing the name Gratitude of the Red Army.
Moreover, this time it is known who participated in the desecration of the memorial in Olsztyn. This is a Polish activist Wojciech Kozel. He hung on the memorial plate with the words "Monument of gratitude for captivity." At the same time, a picture appeared on the monument, in which Kozel depicted a Red Army man, "engaged in sexual harassment against a woman."
Olsztyn city police said that Wojciech Kozel would incur administrative punishment. The punishment is: "Mr. Kozel will remove a poster with a picture of the monument at his own expense."
It is noteworthy that this is not the first attack by Kozel on the memorial to Soviet soldiers. So, less than 2 years ago, he poured paint on the monument. At the same time, according to the "activist" himself, he does not intend to destroy the memorial, since it is included in the Polish register historical structures.
