Armored "Caymans" wound up in Belarus

10
In Belarus, completed tests of a new mobile armored vehicle "Caiman". Now the car is recommended for adoption by the country.

The project development MBTS "Caiman" was launched in 2014 year by special order of President Alexander Lukashenko. In just four months, the military engineers of Belarus have shaped the future look of the new machine. After some time, a full-fledged project was created. In the middle of 2015, the media learned about the availability of the first sample and the beginning of the tests.

When they first saw the Caiman, military experts suggested that the body of the armored vehicle was borrowed from the well-known BRDM-2. However, representatives of the Belarusian defense industry denied these speculations. As the head of the special design bureau of armament and special equipment of 140 Repair Plant Olga Petrova, the company has developed a new building that looks like a Soviet reconnaissance and patrol vehicle.

What petty and miserable envious people. Our slate rustles "alligator", and there is generally plywood "caiman". All lie and breathe in one nozzle.

      "best offer on the market"
to whom do they want to sell their crocodilophus? Arabs are not interested because they swim, in the desert, this is not relevant. And to Europe, to whom? only in Russia, but our MO is already squeezing hard. Maybe the Indians will buy in India to drive?

At the behest of Lukashenko, they created an armored car on the basis of the BRDM, here's the joy, in the best case they will make 10 pieces on this and finish it. It is always interesting who comes up with such names why not “Baboon” or “Giraffe”, although the product may be floating, the author simply did not report this.

This machine has excellent export potential to the rogue countries of Africa and the Asia-Pacific region ...
It’s strange that ours didn’t guess before that, they will rot in the BRDM-1-2 and BTR-60-70 warehouses, but on the site I will insult the Belarusian military-industrial complex ...

Nice machine. True, it bothered me how she swayed on bumps. Depreciation is weak - it will create problems for firing on the go.
