Why did the T-34 tank become a legend?

14
The Soviet T-34 tank surpassed all fascist vehicles until the middle of 1943, and after installing a new 85 mm gun on it, it was able to fight even with the best on equal terms tanks Nazi Germany - with heavy "Tigers". Thirty-four became the most massive tank of all time - more than 50 thousand units were produced.

Today, disputes do not subside whether the T-34 was the best tank of the Second World War and what contributed to the transformation of this car into a legend. We will try to understand these issues.

The Soviet T-34 tank surpassed all fascist vehicles until mid-1943.
Unfortunately, but this is NOT TRUE. Already in the middle of 1942, our T-34 did not have such an advantage.

The tank itself may not have had an advantage, but its quantity has already played a decisive role!

In 1942? What decisive role did they play then? If at that time the main tanks of the Red Army were the T-60 and T-70?

By the end of 1942, 7 factories produced almost 12 units of T-500 of various modifications

I agree with you. The T-34 was out of date by 1943 in terms of armor protection and firepower. After installing 85mm guns, it became level. The war fought with weak armor. The accurate tank saying “armor is garbage, but our tanks are fast” reflects the essence of the matter. The T-44 was ready in 1944, but it didn’t appear in the army. This armored tank met the requirements of the time, there wasn’t any firepower, it needed a 100mm cannon. Its mobility is T-34-85.

Only when installing a new 85mm gun and a new turret. T-34-85. But the video talks about 50 34-k destroyed 300 German tanks. As far as I know the story. This was not.

There is no need to rave.
The T-34 is a medium tank, the latest equipment is 31 tons. The Panther is a heavy tank weighing 45 tons (1,5 times more than "like a schoolboy fighting a perfect punks"). Compare them, this is not to respect yourself.
The Allies considered the panther heavy, and the Germans medium. You don’t need to sing German songs.

and after installing a new 85 mm gun on it, I could equally fight even with the best tanks of Nazi Germany - with the heavy Tigers.
    Why write this?

Thanks for the plot, looked with pleasure. There would be more such materials, otherwise lately they have posted on the site all kinds of nonsense that has nothing to do with the subject of the site.

This topic is described in great detail in the book of the professional historian of the Second World War A. Isaev “Ten myths of the Second World War”, there is the chapter 7 “Invulnerable Wonder Tanks”. In this book there are statements about the T-34 as the best tank from memoirs. For example, German General Guderian praised the T-34 in his memoirs.

And for some reason, he wrote that this is an example of backward Bolshevik technology

Probably also on order, such an idea did not occur? Tagda wrote a lot of such crap about the inferiority of the Slavs and the advantages of the Aryan race.

Tank is the winner. He is a priori the best. For how can the better be defeated :)
